 Did you "round up" a new Chamber member this week? If so, you are eligible to attend tonight's thank-you party for Chamber members who have worked this week on a a New Member Recruitment Drive with a western theme. The new member round-up sparked friendly competition among teams who called prospective members (from their own prospect lists or provided prospect lists) to explain the benefits of chamber membership. New members who join this week receive a waiver of the $25 one-time registration fee and two free "e-serts" in ChamberLinks, as well as a package of new member discount coupons.
The Chamber thanks the hosts of the drive, Ann Baldwin, Mary Kay Cosmetics; Kay Lakhi, The Rite Bite; and Darla King, King Business Interiors, for providing space for volunteers at their workplaces).
A Chamber Chuck Wagon launch party was held Oct. 18 at Keller Williams Capital Partners, with food sponsored by First Place Bank.
Every volunteer who participated (or any Chamber member who has recruited or will recruit a new member by 4:40 p.m. today) is invited to tonight's thank-you party at Pig Iron BBQ, 5295 N. High St., from 4:30 to 6 p.m., for food, beverages, networking and a drawing for a grand prize to one lucky recruiter. Volunteers receive one prize ticket for each new member recruited. The winner of the drawing will receive a $400 gift card to Weiland's Gourmet Market (where you can round up some quality beef, have a Western BBQ catered at your office or home, or choose from many other fine products) and a $25 gift card to Easton. Sponsors include Weiland's, Anthony Lordo, D.D.S., and First Place Bank.

Women's Health Fair to feature exhibits, screenings
|  The Women's Business Network of the Worthington Area Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with The Grandview Area and Clintonville Area Chambers of Commerce, present a Women's Health Fair on Wednesday, Oct. 27, from 3 - 7 p.m. at the Clintonville Women's Club, 3951 North High St., Columbus, OH 43214. The event, featuring exhibits and health screenings, will be hosted by Emily Riemer of ABC-6/FOX 28.
 The event is free for attendees and open to the public (and will serve in lieu of a traditional luncheon for the Women's Business Network in October). The health fair offers opportunities for health-related businesses to showcase their services and products at a women-focused event. The exhibitor participation fee is $50 (chamber members) or $75 (non-chamber members). Optional linen rental is on-site and available that evening at $2.50/linen. Included in the exhibitor fee are one 6-foot table, two chairs; optional electricity; appetizers, beverages; free parking; and publicity. Space is limited to 30 exhibitors, and only a few spaces remain, so act promptly to ensure an exhibitor booth. Registration is required for exhibitors, but reservations are not necessary to attend the Women's Health Fair. All aboard for QuickConnect on Nov. 9 at The Depot ...

 All aboard for the Chamber's November QuickConnect event! QuickConnect is the Chamber's direct sales opportunity for members, giving participants the opportunity to determine quickly if there is a fit in meeting each other's business or personal consumer needs. It's fun, fast and very effective.
The Nov. 9 session will be held at The Depot Events Center, 919 Old Henderson Road, from 8:15 to 10 a.m. (Check-in is at 8:15 a.m. Please be sure to arrive at this time so the start of the timed exercise will not be delayed.) The event will end at 10 a.m. The QuickConnect session is structured so that each participant will make one-on-one contact with 10 others. Participants face each other and have 90 seconds to discuss their company's products or services. Following each contact, participants indicate the next steps, including talking further about doing business; not a fit; and offering a referral. Prior to the session, participants are provided a business profile/feedback form to complete and bring 11 copies to the session.
Registration is required, and commitment to your reservation is important to maintain the correct number and "mix" of contacts for optimum connections. Please register by Oct. 28 by clicking on the REGISTER NOW link above or by calling the Chamber office at 888-3040.

Meet elected officials at Nov. 18 Business After Hours
| Chamber members will have an opportunity to meet and mingle with elected officials and public servants at our next Business After Hours, on Thursday, Nov. 18, from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m.
 Brookside Country Club, 2770 W. Dublin-Granville Road, will host the event. Don't miss this annual opportunity for face-to-face communication with legislators and leaders serving the Worthington area.
Enjoy food, beverages, door grizes, and great networking. Monthly Business After Hours (BAH) events are designed to give Worthington Chamber members the opportunity to network with other members in an informal setting and to learn more about Chamber member businesses.
