The list is posted early in the afternoon on the day preceding a Business After Hours or Business Before Hours event. Pre-registration isn't mandatory, but pre-registrants enjoy some extra privileges. In addition to inclusion on the Know Before You Go list, you'll receive a preprinted name tag, automatic sign-in to the event, and eligibility for door prizes. Worthington Chiropractic Center unveils new name, treats Chamber guests to Aug. 10 Business After Hours
|
 Guests at next Tuesday's Business After Hours will enjoy food and beverages, great networking, chair massages, yoga instruction, wellness activities, and door prizes -- including an iPad for one lucky guest who completes a Wellness Wheel activity.
It's a ll part of the fun as Worthington Chiropractic Center hosts Worthington Area Chamber of
Commerce members and guests for a celebration of its new identity --
Worthington Optimal Wellness -- on Tuesday, Aug. 10, from 5:30 - 7:30
p.m., at 6180 Linworth Road.
Parking will be available at the Center and
at the Linworth Baptist Church adjacent to the facility. Please enter from Linworth Road and follow the one-way and BAH Parking signs.
Monthly Business After Hours (BAH) events are designed to give
Worthington Chamber members the opportunity to network with other members in an
informal setting and to learn more about Chamber member businesses.

Register now for the Chamber Golf Outing
|
 Calling all golfers ... Save the date for the Chamber's annual Golf Outing: Monday, Sept. 13, at York Golf Club, 7459 N. High St. Check-in for players at the scramble-type event will begin at 10 a.m., and a shotgun start will kick off the event
at 11
a.m. The registration fee includes 18 holes of golf with cart, lunch,
picnic
dinner and assorted beverages.
The Chamber's annual Golf Outing is
recognized as one of the best outings of its kind in central Ohio. The event is
a great way to build relationships with a customer or client, reward a dedicated
employee, or treat yourself to a day of golf while networking with other Chamber
members.
The number of golfers is limited to 130
players. Participants may register as singles, in pairs or as foursomes. Prizes
will be awarded to the top finishing teams, and golfers will have a chance to
win additional prizes through a door prize drawing and skill holes on the
course.
Hole-in-one contests will offer some
exciting prizes, to be announced.
 Several levels of sponsorship opportunities are available. You also may donate
an item or gift certificate for the event raffle and other prizes to make the

Young professionals plan partnership event on personal online branding
|
 Are you 21-39?
Plan to join other young professionals from throughout the
central Ohio area on Aug. 19 for an evening of networking, fun, and information
about social networking and online branding. Young Professionals of Worthington
(YPoW) will join with NextGen Dublin (the young professionals program of the
Dublin Chamber of Commerce), young professionals from Union County, and others
onThursday, Aug. 19, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Dave & Buster's, 3665
Park Mill Run Dr., Hilliard.
Presenter: Shane Haggerty,
expert from Ohio Hi-Point Career Center, who has spoken on social media and
personal branding to many leading organizations such as the Ohio Department of
Education and Ohio School Boards Association. Participants will leave with an
excellent understanding of what personal branding is, social media and its role
in personal branding, as well as the art of perfecting a polished brand of your
own.

(YPoW) is organized by the Worthington Area Chamber of Commerce to equip young
professionals who live and work in the Worthington area with networking,

Municipal parking lot to undergo repairs
|
 The
West New England Avenue Municipal parking lot is scheduled to be repaired and
repaved during the week of August 23 through 27. Portions of the parking
area will be blocked off as required for the repairs with all of the parking
spaces blocked off during the resurfacing. Access to the private parking areas
and for deliveries will be maintained as much as possible. Alternate municipal
parking is available at the East New England Avenue Municipal Parking Lot and
the United Methodist Church Parking Lot. Advisory signage to inform lot patrons
will be posted in advance of the work. If you have any questions or concerns,
please call Greg Hock with the City of Worthington Department of Engineering at
431-2424.
