You'reJanet Meeks invited to join the Women's Business Network of the Chamber for a luncheon on Thursday, June 3, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. at Mount Carmel St. Ann's, 500 S. Cleveland Ave., Westerville.

Featured speaker Janet Meeks, chief executive officer of Mount Carmel St. Ann's, will share her experiences and observations on women in leadership and will acquaint you with some of the areas in which Mount Carmel St. Mount Carmel St. Ann'sAnn's has led the way in women's health and other health care areas, including the development of a full-service heart center over the next five years.

Save the date now for the next WBN luncheon on July 13 at Holiday Inn Worthington, with speaker Jacqueline Lewis-Lyons on "Enhancing Your Public Speaking Skills." The Women's Business Network will not meet in August, but will resume in September with the popular annual "Progressive Power Luncheon" at The Worthington Inn. The Combined Chambers Business Expo, scheduled for June 17 at Bridgewater Conference Center, offers numerous business-building opportunities:

 
As an exhibitor ... you'll benefit from exposure to 400-500 expected attendees, including 109 exhibitors from four area chambers of commerce. Exhibit spaces are limited, so reserve your space now. (Currently, our chamber is taking a waiting list for those who need 10-foot spaces for large floor displays.) Young professionals ages 21-39 can enjoy social and professional exchange, as well as Italian food and Happy Hour beverages, when the Chamber's Young Professionals of Worthington (YPoW) group Buca di Beppoconvenes on June 23, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., at Buca di Beppo, 60 E. Wilson Bridge Road.

A Taste of Worthington offers opportunities for sponsors, food vendors and volunteers
A Taste of WorthingtonPlans are under way for A Taste of Worthington, the Chamber's 19th annual food sampling festival, on Friday, July 9, from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., in the parking area of OfficeScape Corporate Center, 350 W. Wilson Bridge Road. 

The event offers great tastes and family fun as guests enjoy affordably priced appetizers, entrées and desserts from area restaurants in a festive block party atmosphere, with live music and family activities. Sponsors have the opportunity to showcase their products and services to approximately 3,000 guests, and area restaurants can show off tastes of their best as they vie for honors in the "People's Choice" competition for the crowd's favorite foods.

June 24 BBH will offer a "flippin' good time"
Early birds aren't likely to catch the proverbial worm at the Chamber's second Business Before Hours (BBH) event at Step by Step Academy on June 24 -- but they can try to catch pancakes flipped by Katie's Pancakes, a co-sponsor of the event.

Katie's PancakesAttendees at the early morning network event can learn more about the important work of Step by Step Academy, a school for autistic children; enjoy a hearty and entertaining breakfast from Katie's Pancakes; and benefit from great networking. The event begins at 7:30 a.m. and concludes at 9 a.m.

Katie's Pancakes will provide pancakes, gourmet coffee, sausage, orange juice, plates, utensils, cups, napkins, butter and syrup - and servers who will flip the pancakes, if desired, to hungry "catchers." 

Step by StepThe event will be held on the grounds of Step by Step at 445 E. Dublin-Granville Road (former Harding campus). Watch for Chamber event parking signs as you turn onto the campus. Drive straight back toward building G and follow directions to available parking from staff and volunteer attendants. Please note in your registration comment if you use a wheel chair or need a similar accommodation for handicap parking. The event is outside in a grassy area. Parking is also available at the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
