Health & Wellness Fair: Perfect prescription for promoting your health and fitness-related business
|

Young Professionals of Worthington (YPoW), a program of the Worthington Area Chamber of Commerce,
presents the first annual Health & Wellness Fair
for Chamber members and the community.
 The event is planned for Tuesday, April 27, from 10 a.m. to
2 p.m. at YMCA North, 1640 Sandalwood Place, Columbus 43229.
Anthem Blue Cross
& Blue Shield is the presenting event sponsor.
The fair is
themed as an opportunity for Chamber members in the health and wellness
industries to showcase their products or services and to educate the community
about the benefits of a healthy lifestyle. The fair will include exhibits, free
health screenings, and demonstrations of health and fitness activities, as well
as sales of healthy luncheon foods. Sponsors will benefit from exposure to
audiences of Chamber members and community members and through publicity of the
event. The Clintonville Chamber of Commerce will partner with the Worthington
Area Chamber of Commerce in this event.
Information for Exhibitors:
Exhibitors are encouraged
to have "give-aways" available, or to have a door prize drawing at their tables.
Exhibitors may advertise
and distribute from their own exhibit space. Items extending beyond exhibit
booth space will need prior approval by the Chamber staff.
Exhibit spaces are 8
feet with 6-foot tables (or 8 feet of space with no table, if desired, for floor
displays). Please note that no display taller than 60 inches will be allowed on
a tabletop.
No product sales may be
transacted at the fair, with the exception of food vendors.
Sound or voice
amplification may not extend beyond the range of the contracted space.
In accordance with the
Americans with Disabilities Act, persons needing special accommodations to
participate should contact the Chamber no later than 48 hours prior to the
event.
Trade show displays may
be rented at a discount rate from Accent Exhibits, 891-6116.
Health Exhibitor ($50
)* - Covered 6-foot table for tabletop display (or like space
without a table to accommodate a floor display); two chairs; signage, if
desired; promotion in program and on Worthington Chamber Web site. You may
purchase more than one (contiguous) space at the $50 rate for a more expansive
exhibit.
Food Vendor ($50
)* - Covered 6-foot table for tabletop display (or like space
without a table to accommodate a floor display); two chairs; signage, if
desired; promotion in program and on Worthington Chamber Web site. Food vendors
are encouraged to provide small, prepackaged portions of food prepared elsewhere
(e.g., sealed plastic bowl of salad; sealed package of hummus and crackers;
sealed bowl of soup; wrapped sandwiches, etc.). Food prepared on the premises
will require a health permit, for which you are responsible for application,
payment and display at your food table. Food vendors may keep the proceeds from
sale of their food products. Napkins, cups, utensils, etc., should be furnished
with the food.

Reds, Whites & Desserts will sparkle plenty on May 22
|
The banquet rooms at Catering by Design, 6465 Busch Blvd., will sparkle with elegance and sophistication on Saturday, May 22, from 7 to 10 p.m., as the popular catering hall plays host and presenting event sponsor for the Chamber's 13th annual Reds, Whites & Desserts fundraising event. Reds, Whites & Desserts, typically attended by approximately 350, offers wine tasting, hors d'oeuvres, desserts for sampling and auction, a coffee bar, and dozens of silent auction packages featuring travel, food, wine, fashion, sports, family fun and other themes.
Numerous opportunities are available for Chamber member businesses to promote their companies through sponsorships, auction donations or participation as presenters of wines and desserts. Sponsorship opportunities include Major Event Sponsorships ($1,000 includes a reserved table for six and multiple signage and promotional opportunities); Wine Station Sponsorships ($650 for a reserved table of six and advertising opportunities); Patron Sponsorships ($350 for four tickets and a business card-size program ad); Friend Sponsorships ($225 for four tickets and a listing in the program); and, for those who contribute prizes for the silent auction packages, promotion in auction displays and event publicity. Ready, set ... QuickConnect! on March 31.

QuickConnect is the Chamber's direct sales opportunity for members, giving participants the opportunity to determine quickly if there is a fit in meeting each other's business or personal consumer needs. It's fun, fast and very effective.
The March 31 session will be held at Country Inn and Suites, 1111 Mediterranean Ave., Columbus 43229. Check-in will take place from 10 a.m. to 10:15 a.m., when the session will begin. The event will end at 11:30 a.m.
The session is structured so that each participant will make one-on-one contact with 10 others. Participants face each other and have 90 seconds to discuss their company's products or services. Following each contact, participants indicate the next steps, including talking further about doing business; not a fit; and offering a referral.
Prior to the session, participants are provided a business profile/feedback form to complete and bring 11 copies to the session.

The Combined Chambers' Business Expo is the annual business development and networking event presented by the Worthington, Dublin, Westerville and Powell chambers of commerce. The show will have approximately 100 vendors, and 400 to 500 attendees are expected. Admission is free for chamber members and other area businesspeople. There will be free appetizers, a cash bar and lots of prizes.
