Overall results of the survey will be shared at upcoming Chamber events (including the Groundhog Day Business Forecast Breakfast on Feb. 2) and in Chamber publications.

The survey should take about 10 or 15 minutes to complete.

Groundhog Day Breakfast continues community tradition

An annual community tradition returns on Tuesday, Feb. 2, as the Chamber presents the Groundhog Day Community Forecast Breakfast from 7 to 9 a.m. at Brookside Country Club.

Share in community leaders' predictions for 2010 and consider how their predictions might affect area businesses. Learn about key events during the past year and planned initiatives from Worthington's City Manager Matt Greeson; Worthington Libraries Director Meribah Mansfield; and Worthington Schools Superintendent Melissa Conrath.  Click on the REGISTER NOW link at top left to learn more and to register for this event.

Discover Your Strength book coverNew to the Chamber? Take the opportunity to meet other new members and learn about Chamber programs and services at a quarterly orientation meeting, designed to help you get the most from your membership and jump-start your involvement.

Our Jan. 28 new member event will be held at Homewood Suites by Hilton, 115 Hutchinson Ave., Columbus 43235. The event begins at 8:15 a.m. and concludes by 10:30.

New members and new contacts at current members are encouraged to attend. Attendees have the opportunity to promote their businesses while learning about Chamber initiatives, programs and services to help them grow their businesses.

Discover "What's in it for ME?" at 2010 Annual Meeting
Discover "What's in it for ME?" at the Chamber's 2010 Annual Meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 23, at the Holiday Inn Columbus/Worthington, 7007 N. High St.

From 11:15 a.m. to noon, check in and and preview "What's In It for Me?" opportunities at display tables manned by volunteers who are familiar with the Chamber's varied program and benefit offerings. Participate in prize drawing opportunities at each station.

From noon to 1:15 p.m., enjoy lunch and participate in the business meeting that includes the annual election of trustees and officers, as well as a program reviewing the past year and outlining plans for the remainder of 2010. "Discover Your Inner Strength" at Feb. 18 Women's Business Network luncheon featuring Leslie Meyer-Miller
Join the Women's Business Network of the Chamber for a presentation and book-signing event on
"Discover Your Inner Strength"  on Tuesday, Feb. 18, from 11:30 to 1:15 at Crowne Plaza Columbus North, 6500 Doubletree Ave.

The keynote speaker, Leslie Meyer-Miller, was selecteLeslie Meyer-Millerd following a nationwide search to be featured in Discover Your Inner Strength, from Insight Publishing. The book features best-selling authors Stephen R. Covey, Brian Tracy and Ken Blanchard. In 2001, Leslie founded Passage Insights, LLC, a Chamber-member business focused on the area of wellness and living proactively. Through her own life experiences and professional training she has developed systems of health and well-being while empowering people to take charge and care of themselves.

Cost: $20/Chamber members*; $30/non-members. Please specify if you need a vegetarian meal.
