July, 2010 - Millions of routers - including  most all Cisco Linksys units - can be easily hacked using DNS rebinding. 

 

What's that?  DNS rebinding tricks your browser into seeking internal resources on the your network under the direction of an attacker. The outside attacker can order your PC  to find and send corporate data to an outside machine  -- while evading detection by the user, and not tampering with DNS servers. 

 

 

 

 

In addition to the Cisco Linksys units, other vulnerable brand names include ActionTec, Asus, Belkin, Dell and Thompson.
