Bring your consumers and join us on Tuesday, February 9th at the Gaston Public Library - main for a Valentine's Day Party!  Enjoy music, crafts, refreshments and fun!  The party starts at 3:00pm and ends at 5:00pm.  If you have any questions, please contact us at the office.  We look forward to seeing you there!

      *An estimated 1.5 million individuals in the U.S. and tens
       of millions worldwide are affected by autism
      *Government statistics suggest the prevalence rate of autism is
       increasing 10-17 percent annually
      *Studies suggest boys are more likely than girls to develop autism and
       receive the diagnosis three to four times more frequently
      *Current estimates are that in the United States alone, one out of 70
       boys is diagnosed with autism

Ronnie PaulleyRonnie Paulley - ARC Professional of the Year 

Ronald Paulley, Jr., Consumer Support Specialist for Dreamweavers Unlimited, Inc. was named the ARC Professional of the Year at this year's annual ARC banquet on January 24, 2010. 

The ARC organization was founded in 1961 by a small group of parents concerned about the lack of support for their loved ones with mental challenges.  The Gaston Chapter, also formed in 1961, is dedicated to helping people of all ages with Mental Challenges and Developmental Disabilities reach their highest potential. 

Each year, the ARC holds a special awards banquet to honor volunteers, professionals, individuals, and organizations that support the mission of the ARC.  "Ronnie is truly an asset to Dreamweavers and the consumers he serves," said Betsy Huffstetler, Executive Director of Dreamweavers Unlimited, Inc.  "His innovative, fresh ideas benefit all our consumers. Ronnie enjoys his work and it shows."

Incident Accident Reporting Review: The following are guidelines as to when you need to contact your supervisor with regards to filling out an Incident/Accident Report form. This is not an all inclusive list and staff should feel free to contact their supervisor if they have any questions as to whether a report is needed

With Sensory Friendly Films, the movie auditoriums will have their lights brought up and the sound turned down.
