Thibaut Fabrics for Timeless Syle
|
Thibaut: Celebrating 125 Years in Business! Featuring a bright and fresh color palette, the signature Thibaut repertoire embraces classic styles that include themes of French Provincial, British Colonial, Oriental, and American Traditional. This great American design house was actually founded in 1886 by Richard Thibaut and has remained true to its spirit of always offering highest quality wallpaper and then fabrics. Their distinctive patterns capture a decorator's attention, whether searching for historic reproductions or novelty prints. The newest 125th Anniversary Collection and Anna French Lace Collection are especially impressive. You can visit their website and view them all at Thibautdesign.com. I promise that you will fall in love with many of them, and even more so when you see real samples! If you are considering using Thibaut fabrics for a decorating project, please feel free to contact me, and I would be happy to assist (as I now carry their fabric collections!) Thibaut fabrics are VERY suitable for beautiful window treatment and drapery. |
A Season For Slipcovers
Fit-like-a-Glove slipcovers can be a fantastic way to revive a cherished family heirloom or a worn seat cover. Rather then re-upholstery (which would be recommended if there is "bones" repair necessary), a slipcover can give you an updated fresh look or an alternate design option. The pin fitting is done on site, so you never have to be without a seat! And it is also a good time to refurbish cushions or upgrade them to spring/down. Furniture that is especially good for slipcovers: wing chairs; parsons chair; dining chairs; club chairs and ottomans; sofas with loose seat and back cushions. There are many design options with slipcovers that you can't get with upholstery, so that is also a consideration. Fabric choice and amount is important, so don't purchase yardage until the job has been quoted.
