Peppercorns: sprinkle a few in the drawers and boxes where you keep your woolens, cashmere, blends and cotton to keep moths away(from Cynthia W.)
Wash darks and colors inside out to prevent fading.

When Addressing Envelopes:
leave out the comma between the city and state - the letter will move faster through the US Postal system.
Plastic Utensils - are not recyclable yet - try your best not to use them and ask restaurants not to give them to you with your take out orders.

Donate all linens, blankets, heating pads in good condition and old or faux fur. These items can be used to make our four legged friends more comfortable and heating pads and fur is used to comfort newborns. Call your local animal shelters ahead of time to find out what they need and times and locations for drop off.
