Title: President/CEO
Tell us about your job:Executive management, sales and marketing
What aspect of your job interests you the most?
I love building things. PepperDash was an opportunity to build a new market for independent
control programming, then to build the very best programming company in that
market. Growing a small company is
always interesting, challenging and exciting... if you can tolerate the stress.
How did you get started in the AV industry/control systems programming?
When Sumanth left the IT department at Breakaway Solutions,
he told me to call if I was looking for something interesting to do, as he and
David were getting a new company off the ground. One day I dropped by and Sumanth explained what Crestron was. I was
an AV geek in school, so it was a good fit for me.
What's the most high tech gadget that you own?
My BMW R1200R outputs 109 HP and 85 lb-ft of torque, but
still averages 45 MPG. That's pretty high tech.
Favorite Bar:
What's a bar? I
really don't get out that much. When I
do, single malts, T&T or micro brews are preferred, but I'll drink a
martini if someone treats.
Describe some of your
hobbies:
Riding or reading about motorcycles. That's the big
one. My "night job" is being president
of my temple Brotherhood, and I volunteer for several interesting charity
events. I'm also a DIY homeowner with a
penchant for big projects like building a theater in the basement or
decks in the backyard.
Best Advice:
Focus on the basics: Listen to your customers, provide
outstanding service, strive for improvement, and finish
what you start.
