Hello, Washington!
|
We are very excited
to announce that we have opened our newest office in Reston, Virginia.
Conveniently located just off the Dulles Toll Road, on Plaza America Drive, we
are a short distance to Dulles and downtown Washington. Reston Town Center, the
retail, dining and entertainment hub, is just a few blocks away.
PepperDash is set to serve the Metro DC
community's government, military and commercial AV programming needs. Our goal
is to staff this region with people who have the skills, experience and
clearance to address the unique needs of the neighborhood. To start, our DC office Lead Programmer will
be Jason DeVito, who has recently moved to the area from San Antonio. In
addition to being charming and personable, Jason has extensive government and
military control programming experience, and holds Secret level clearance.
PepperDash will continue to offer
the same higher level of control and DSP programming services through its DC
office that design consultants, integrators, corporations and institutions in
New York and Boston have come to expect. We will also focus on
addressing issues of particular concern for government and military consumers
and those who service them, such as user interface standardization, energy
management, and security.
While we have already begun
working on projects for a number of agencies and integrators in the area, we
recognize that it will take a little time to settle in and get to know
folks. As it has been elsewhere, the primary
objective of our Partnership Service Commitment will
be to deliver an unsurpassed level of quality and service to our partners in
the region, and build outstanding long-term relationships.
We look forward to working with you in the DC area!
-Howard

PepperDash Profile: David Huselid

Title:Vice President/COO
Tell us about your job: Frequently, I'm attempting to create some order
from chaos. Occasionally, I'm even successful.
How did you get started in the AV industry / control systems programming? The Dot com bust led me to taking on random control programming work, which led me to the AV industry. There are very few people who I've met in this industry whose path made any more sense than that and I credit a good part of this industry's strength to the diversity of its members.
What aspect of your job interests you the most? Why? The most interesting part of my job is probably
trying to answer the question of "What can PepperDash do tomorrow to make it a
better company than it is today." I've always enjoyed working through
challenges and have on occasion been described as being 'somewhat' competitive,
so having something which I can constantly try to improve works well for me.
What's the most high tech gadget that you own? That would be a toss-up between my 4 year old cell phone and my alarm clock.
Favorite bar: My favorite bar is always the one enjoyed in good company.
Describe your dream home theatre: Whichever one is playing my Minnesota Twins, Vikings, Timberwolves, or Wild winning their respective championships! ...you did say 'dream' home theater, right? =)
Best Advice:
If you make a mistake, learn from it, correct it, and then move
on. It's one of the best educational opportunities you will have, don't
beat yourself up over it, but don't waste it either.
