PepperDash News - A higher level of control
November 2008
Hello and Welcome!

Nutty economy got you wondering what to do? We feel the same way. We decided the that the best thing we could do to weather the storm was improve our company. First step: better communication. Welcome to the first edition of PepperDash News!

Here you'll find some relevant information about PepperDash and its people, helpful information about control automation, and hopefully an occasional smile. Send us your feedback and suggestions about what to include in future editions (info@pepperdash.com).

What's new at PepperDash?  We now have locations in Boston, New York and Austin. And, did you know that we now have 26 employees, including 15 programmers, 3 graphic designers and 3 field technicians?

We're investing in our operations infrastructure and personnel (keep reading, meet Christina!). Our process now includes a full internal post-project review, which includes a survey that we send to our clients. We want to be the best in the business and live up to our Partnership Service Commitment, so we need your feedback. If you get one of these brief post-project surveys, please take 5 minutes to fill it out. We appreciate your help.

Next month, we'll talk about "Bench Management" in volatile economic times. If you have any topics you would like us to cover, just let me know.

Thanks for reading!

PepperDash Profile: Christina Friskey
Christina Friskey
Title:Project Coordinator

Tell us about your job:

I ensure that our clients have their projects scheduled with our team in a timely fashion.  I believe communication is key to keeping projects moving forward efficiently for all parties, hence I enjoy acting as a liaison between PepperDash and our clients, keeping everyone up to date with project status reports, emails, confirmations, etc.

You can always check in with me regarding the status of your projects.  I meet with the programmers weekly and receive daily check-ins on the progress of all projects.  So consider me the backup source for all updates if your primary point of contact, the project's Lead Programmer, is unavailable.

What aspect of your job interests you the most?
I love talking to people!  I have met so many wonderful, intelligent and fascinating people in the industry since I started at PepperDash.

Favorite Bar: Spotty Dog Books and Ale, Hudson, NY.-it's a bookstore, café and bar inside an amazing old Fire-House. It's got hoppy local micro-brews, tons of books you can read before you buy (and while you drink), plus they do a lot of fundraising to support the local animal shelters, so-what's not to like?

Favorite Food in the PepperDash closet (or refrigerator):  I'm vegan, so I usually stick to tea and Oreos (which ARE Vegan, I swear!)-but I am still heavily tempted by the Starbursts and Chips Ahoy. I'm not made of STONE!

3 Songs currently on your playlist:  Deceptacon by LeTigre, Upper Peninsula by Sufjan Stevens, Cast Your Fate to the Wind by George Winston covering Vince Guaraldi (Charlie Brown Rocks!).

Best Advice: Please tell us as soon as possible when you expect to be ready for installation, even if the date is an estimate. If there are any changes in your schedule, please tell me soon as you know about it.  This way we can best ensure meeting your deadlines.
