A Call to Present

Middle level educators from across Texas will be convening February 24-26, 2011 for the Texas Middle School Association's 36th Annual Conference and Exhibit.  The conference will be held at the Austin Convention Center and more than 3,000 middle level educators and exhibitors are expected to take part in this annual event.

It is THE conference for Texas middle level educators to join together in learning, dialoging, networking and exploring the topics critical to today's middle level professionals.

We implore you to consider submitting a presentation for this year's conference.  Your knowledge, experience and expertise would truly be an asset to our program.  We would be honored to have you as one of our breakout session presenters.

About Texas Middle School Association (TMSA)

2010 FlyerSince 1975, Texas Middle School Association (TMSA) has been the state's premiere association for middle level educators.

We are a voluntary, nonprofit, statewide educational association that serves and represents Texas educators, administrators, children and parents... anyone who works with children ages 11-15.

Our mission is to promote the implementation of student-centered programs and highly effective practices by providing vision, knowledge, and resources which meet the unique individual needs of adolescents in an ever-changing society.

The Texas Middle School Association envisions all middle level students as fulfilled, productive, and healthy citizens of their communities and of a global society.

Through our Annual Conference and Exhibit, workshops, newsletters, award winning Journal of the Texas Middle School Association, recently enhanced website, online bookstore, and our newly developed Texas Schools to Watch® program, we provide services to more than 15,000 middle level educators annually.

Exhibiting at the Conference
2010 Flyer The TMSA Annual Conference and Exhibit features more than 100 booths.  We are the ONLY conference in the state dedicated solely to the middle level educator.  As the largest and most exclusive state meeting for interacting face-to-face with decision makers in the middle grades industry (grades 5-9), our exhibitors get a remarkable return on their investment when they exhibit at our conference.

Since our attendee base includes administrators, teachers, counselors and pre-service teachers, exhibiting at our conference is a great opportunity for service centers and school districts as well as for educational companies.

Why Present at TMSA?
Why Present at TMSA?
2010 Flyer
You are doing great things. Terrific, interesting things that would be of great interest and benefit to other educators.

Putting forward good examples of student-centered learning is everyone's job.

Speaking at a conference isn't "tooting your  own horn" and it isn't egocentric. Think of it as part of your professional development. A balanced part of being an educator is doing reflective work about your own profession.

You will help other educators learn, grow, and develop.

And ultimately--you will help the children you work with every day by helping their teachers.  Isn't that what it's really all about?
