Arlington HorseTMSA's 35th Annual Conference & Exhibit a Huge Success

Team TMSA: Catch the Excitement! was a huge success.  For three days in March,  2,000 middle-level professionals converged upon Arlington, Texas.

Keynote speakers Neila Connors and Rick Wormeli both inspired and motivated attendees. Attendees were able to chose from 100 breakout sessions on a variety of timely educational topics.  Everyone agreed that they had, indeed, caught the excitement!

National Organizations Recognize Importance of New Middle Grades Research
Each day, nearly 20 million young adolescents enter schools with the hopes and dreams of succeeding in the middle grades and becoming college-ready high school graduates. EdSource's recent study, Gaining Ground in the Middle Grades: Why Some Schools Do Better, is an important piece of research that draws attention to the critical role that middle grades schools play in the preK-12 continuum and provides schools with key strategies that will help prepare students for academic success in high school and beyond.

Ninety-seven percent of Texas Districts and Charters
Receive Full Accreditation Status

Almost 1,200 Texas school districts and charter schools earned full accreditation status from the Texas Education Agency today. However, one school district and three charter schools have been notified that their accreditation will be revoked and that they will no longer be able to operate as public schools after this school year.
