Greetings!
What is God's purpose for your life? Do you ask this question of yourself often? Or do you know the answer but you haven't implemented it as yet?
To love Him and to honor Him stands out as one prime reason why you exist. Does your life express this purposefully?
When He calls you to do something, how do you respond? Willingly or grudgingly, instantly or belatedly, focused or distracted?
The biblical counsel is: "In your relationship with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus." Philippians 2:5 NIV
Sharing the good news of Jesus is truly an act that honors Him.

INVITATIONS ARE OUT
The "Debt Eraser" flyers inviting people to our Jesus Seminars are in the mail. Our target area is the surrounding half-mile around Gospel Life Community, consisting of approximately 3600 households.
A second distribution of the flyers will take place on Sunday, April 29, after the fellowship lunch. We need a lot of volunteers to carry these invitations door-to-door to our neighbors in the community. So please bring your walking shoes for this activity.
Additionally, whoever wants to bring home a bunch of invitations to distribute in their own neighborhoods is welcome to do so. They will be available for you at the church foyer.
The seminars will begin on Friday, May 4, for three weekends in a row. These meetings are scheduled on Fridays at 7:30 p.m., Saturdays at 3 p.m., and Sundays at 11 a.m. Pastor John will be conducting these seminars. |

WOMEN ARE INVITED
The next Men's Breakfast Meeting is slated for Saturday, May 12, at 8:30 a.m. A special guest speaker will address the group. Mr. George Rivera, CEO of Total Resources, Inc., a manufacturer of first aid kits and products located in the Walnut area, will give his testimony as a Christian executive and administrator.
The women of the church are invited to this meeting. Mothers from this group will be recognized as this is also the Mother's Day weekend. |
TIME TO VOLUNTEER Our hospitality group of church greeters need more volunteers to help out in welcoming guests and other attendees when the Jesus Seminars begin. The church greeters who have been serving in their posts from week to week would like to extend a call to all those who may want to share their hospitality skills to join the greeters either temporarily or who will be on the regular rotation schedule. Please let any of the church greeters or church staff know if you'd like to volunteer. You will be appreciated for doing so! |

SGFs IN ACTION
We truly appreciate several of you who belong to certain Small Group Fellowships (or bible study groups) who have done or are planning to do some service-oriented task for Gospel Life Community, ranging from cleaning up certain areas, to offering to take care of messages left on the church's telephone voicemail, to helping pack donated articles of clothing into the "balikbayan" boxes, etc.
Other SGFs may want to take up similar service projects in their own areas or neighborhoods as a service to the communities in which their members live. This will be a positive influence as well as a means of reaching out to those who do not know who we are. |
LION'S DEN SCHOOL Applications are now being accepted for the summer session of the Lion's Den School of the Supernatural here at Gospel Life Community. Tell your friends from other churches that this is a great learning experience towards intimacy with God. Pastor Hansel is the director of the school and he tells us that there will be several guest lecturers during the course which begins on June 6 and ends on August 27. Tuition is set at $500 per person. A $50 discount is offered if registration is submitted by May 27 at the latest. For further information please go to the website at www.thelionsdenschool.com or inquire at thelionsden.glc@gmail.com . |

MARKETPLACE MINISTRY
Manifest vs. Market
"Take the staff, and you and your brother Aaron gather the assembly together. Speak to that rock before their eyes and it will pour out its water" (Num 20:7-8).
The Bible says that Moses had a unique walk with God. God said Moses was the most humble man on earth and He spoke with him face to face (Num 12:3 and Exodus 3:11).
When Moses met God at the burning bush God said, "Moses, I'm going to perform miracles through your staff." And He did. He turned his staff into a snake. He brought plagues upon the nation and even parted the Red Sea with his staff. He even struck the rock with his staff to bring forth water.
But later, God called Moses to operate on a new level. Instead of using his workplace tool (his staff) to perform miracles, God was calling Moses to manifest the miracle through his words. "Speak to the rock Moses!" But Moses, frustrated by the stiff-necked people, struck the rock instead out of anger. Amazingly and in spite of his disobedience, God still allowed Moses to get water out of the rock. God will often work through your anointing, even when you do it in your flesh, just for the sake of others. But beware my friend, it will be at a great cost. Like Moses, you will not enter your promised land and may lose your inheritance.
God is calling us to manifest breakthroughs by operating at times as God did--by speaking to the problem. Be available to the Holy Spirit at times when God calls you to use your authority in your calling to manifest His power in a situation that needs a breakthrough.
Friend, God is calling you to manifest His Kingdom through a higher level of relationship with Him. Are you willing?

Dear God, what do You require of me? Thank You for Your grace and mercy on me. Thank You for helping me to have a reverent fear of You, to walk in all Your ways, to love You, and to serve You with all my heart and with all my soul.
You are the remedy for my soul; the cure for all my pain, hurt and wrong; the solution for every problem. You are Rapha, the healer. You are great and greatly to be praised.
I lift Your name on high. Thank You for shining through my life. In Jesus' name I pray, amen. |
