Greetings!
Blessings and peace be to you. What an awesome weekend we had! Words cannot express enough what kind of experiences each one of us went through during the Lion's Den Weekend just concluded. It has been a tremendously rewarding spiritual weekend for all who attended, and even for those who were here at the Sunday morning session! Truly, the Lord had in store for us much more than we ever expected. "Friends, the Lord can never be outdone. We cannot even wish ourselves as much good as God has intended for us. "The best choice a Christian can make is to fix his or her hope on the Lord Jesus Christ. Welcome whatever fits His will for your life, and turn away from all that does not. Circumstances may shift and change, but Jesus never does. He is a living hope who never disappoints." CHARLES STANLEY, IN TOUCH EARLY LIGHT, JANUARY 3, 2011 The Church Staff

| BLESSED WEEKEND | |
 | | KEITH FERRANTE |
By God's grace and through the Holy Spirit, the Lion's Den Weekend was a tremendous success. We were spiritually blessed many times over through all the sessions from Friday evening, January 27, through Sunday morning, January 29.
Keith and Heather Ferrante, Ministry Leaders at the Mission in Vacaville, CA, presented the messages on Saturday evening and Sunday morning emphasizing that we must freely give what we have freely received. We are God's extension, he said, because He lives within us, and so we can and should step out with a spirit of boldness, because the kingdom of God is here, and it is in your hands to give and to share.
At numerous times, Keith reminded us that as born-again Christians we are royalty, and that we sit with Jesus in the heavenly realm right now! And thus, we are not to act as though we are trying to catch up, but rather that we should just lean back, rest on Him, and in His wisdom. He called on the previous Lion's Den graduates to minister to the congregation in prayers for healing, to give us the word from the Lord, to prophesy over us.
DUSTIN & SAVANNAH BOX
 | | Dustin & Savannah Box |
We had Dustin and Savannah Box as guests as well during the Lion's Den Weekend.
He is the Worship Pastor at the Northbay Foursquare Church in Vallejo, CA. Both he and Savannah led out in the Praise and Worship as vocalists on Friday evening, Saturday evening and Sunday morning meetings.
Pastor Dustin spoke on Saturday morning regarding Culture Transformation. Based on the passage in Revelation 12:11 he showed us how the saints overcome the enemy: 1) by the blood of the Lamb, 2) by the word of testimony, and 3) by not loving their own lives unto death.
We become what our perspective is, he said.. Nothing and no one is insignificant. He further said that recognizing the works of God is an invitation to know His ways, and that knowing His ways is an invitation to know His presence and His person.
TESSA CHARLES & NED ESPIRITU On Saturday afternoon, Ned Espiritu and Tessa Charles presided over the Prophetic Ministry session. Ned gave a short explanation of what this ministry is about. Tessa divided the attendees into seven breakout groups, each of which was led by two Lion's Den School graduates who then proceeded to prophesy over the members of their group and/or give them a word from the Lord at that point.
There was a great response from among the session attendees, realizing that the prophetic does not just mean predicting the future but rather a revelation of what God's plan might be for each individual, or perhaps an encouraging word or a word in due time. Every Christian has this capacity.
(Note: My personal experience as God's words were revealed to me by those who prophesied over me, is that they were completely appropriate and timely, and were, indeed, the things that I may have thought of or considered in the past but did not think to be quite possible. And here was the affirmation that God sent me. ---cjm)

| DID YOU FEED YOUR SPIRIT AS WELL AS YOUR BELLY? | |
 | | The Fresh Fries Food Truck |
They promised us the Food Trucks, and the Food Trucks came.
On Saturday noon, the OG Tempura and Mangia Ristorante trucks came. In the evening, the Mangia Ristorante stayed and the Tapa Boy truck came .
Yesterday, the Tapa Boy came again, and the Fresh Fries truck came up as well.
Most of the Lion's Den session attendees got their meals from the food trucks. There were many others that were not our congregants or attendees at the Lion's Den sessions who came for the food trucks after they received Tweeter messages from the food truck operators that told the recipients where the food trucks were located at the moment.
There was much to feed our spirits as well as our bellies the last thrree days. It is hoped that many, if not all attendees of this mini-conference, will avail themselves of the Lion's Den summer school coming up in June, having now an idea of what the school of the supernatural is all about. |

| LION'S DEN BROCHURE | |
 | | Pastor Hansel & Natalie Orzame |
Have you seen the new Lion's Den brochure? Be sure to get one and become familiar with its mission, what it's about, and some of the faculty that are involved in the school.
Bring a few brochures home with you and give them away to family members who may be interested, and to friends and neighbors who have a desire for a more meaningful and intimate walk with our Lord.
The summer school is not too far away. It's time for those interested to prepare and get ready for it. The dates are from June 6 to August 25, 2012, a total of 11 weekends (Thursday evenings, Fridays all day, and Saturdays a half day.)
The founders and directors of the Lion's Den School of the Supernatural are Pastor Hansel and his wife Natalie. |

The Perfectionist
"Moses said to the LORD, 'O Lord, I have never been eloquent, neither in the past nor since you have spoken to your servant. I am slow of speech and tongue'" (Ex 4:10).
One of the greatest affronts you can commit against God is to refuse His calling that He has placed upon you. Imagine arguing with your Creator and telling him you know better than Him.
That is exactly what Moses did when God called him to be his spokesperson to Pharaoh.
God and Moses got into an "I know best" competition. "The LORD said to him, 'Who gave man his mouth? Who makes him deaf or mute? Who gives him sight or makes him blind? Is it not I, the LORD? Now go; I will help you speak and will teach you what to say.' But Moses said, 'O Lord, please send someone else to do it.'"
God actually relented in the argument. Can you imagine that? But He's not happy about it. "Then the LORD's anger burned against Moses and he said, 'What about your brother, Aaron the Levite?'" God has to use Aaron as Moses' mouthpiece.
Have you ever not pursued something because it had to be perfect? There is a fine line between doing things with excellence and being a perfectionist. Perfectionists become argumentative with God. They refuse to step out in faith and obedience because they care too much about what others think if the results don't turn out perfectly.
I battled these same demons when God led me into a writing and speaking ministry. "Lord, I am weak in grammar and you know I'm an introvert." Then He reminded me "...for my power is made perfect in weakness" (2 Cor 12:9).
When God places His anointing on you He uses whatever level of skill you have to fulfill His purposes in your life. This is why you need not fear moving into an unfamiliar area if He calls you there.
What is God waiting for you to do? It may be time to step out. He specializes in "cliff-catching."

| MEDITATION |

"Dear God, society is so curious about 'close encounters of a third kind' and aliens from outer space and all the unexplainable occurrences that happen from time to time.
"While all that may be interesting, I desire encounters of a heavenly kind. Lord, thank You for just giving me more of You and filling me with Your presence and your peace.
"Refresh my spirit as I bask in Your presence. Replenish my soul with Your Word. Lift me up and keep me going forward for You. In Jesus' name I pray, amen." |
