Greetings!

Christians, in theory, should be the most thankful of all people on this wide world. Why? Because they are the only ones who have the assurance of eternal life if they only believe what the Bible teaches plainly. There are no prequalifications other than to believe in Jesus Christ and to accept Him as

Lord and Savior.

As we enter this week of Thanksgiving, let's keep that in our hearts and minds, and let's be grateful that He sits on the throne, remembering what Philippians 4:6 states, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God."

That verse is a solid and strong reminder that He takes care of us no matter what our circumstances may be!

EVANGELISTIC SERIES

"King of Kings"

Senior Pastor John Tulio will present a series of four messages in a forthcoming Evangelistic Series entitled "King of Kings." The sermons will be given beginning this coming Sunday and through the month of December.

Pastor Hansel preached the last sermon on the series "Grace Lifestyle" yesterday. He emphasized the importance of knowing and understanding what "grace" truly means more so because we now live in the New Covenant Era. The law, which is the embodiment of the Old Covenant, is now obsolete and has been replaced by Jesus' Great Commandment.

Previous speakers on the same topic are Pastor L. J. who spoke about the "Freedom Perspective," and Pastor John, whose message on "Freedom to Love" focused on displaying the grace lifestyle by serving and sharing with others.

FEEDING THE HOMELESS

Preparations are now underway for Gospel Life's participation in the feeding of the homeless on Sunday evening, December 4. Nancy Alano, Maria Avena, and Lelit Luciano make up the committee in charge of the preparations.

Some of the details of the event were presented yesterday to the congregation.  Several have already signed up as volunteers to prepare the food and to help distribute them. Please let any of the above committee members know what you'd like to do to help accomplish this mission.
Raising HandsTHANKSGIVING EVE SERVICE

Everyone will certainly be blessed at this Wednesday's Thanksgiving Eve Service at Gospel Life beginning at 7:30 p.m.

There will be Praise and Worship as well as ample opportunity for personal testimony and thanksgiving. This event has become traditional for our church family.  Both seasoned members and the youth are encouraged to come and be a part of our community celebration.

Most everyone will be spending Thanksgiving Day with their families and friends and we can only ask you to be safe when you drive and to be happy as you enjoy your day and your weekend!

MARKETPLACE MINISTRY

Creating Your Niche

"Sixty queens there may be..... and virgins beyond number; but my dove, my perfect one, is unique..." (Song of Solomon 6:8-9).

Every business must have a unique niche if you wish to separate yourself from others to compete in the marketplace. This is especially true if you are competing in an industry that is very crowded with competition and low price is a driving incentive for the customer.

It used to be that a cup of coffee was just a cup of coffee. Then a company came along and completely changed the rules. They violated every marketing rule. They overpriced their product. They changed the language - a small is actually a "tall." A medium is "grande." You get the idea.

Starbucks, the specialty coffee retailer, is one of the great 21st century American success stories. Considered as one of the most successful and admired companies today, Starbucks has grown from a single store begun by a Jewish man in Seattle 33 years ago to 12,000 stores, almost 4,000 of which are in 36 countries outside the U.S. In fiscal 2006, the company posted revenues of more than $8 billion.* Cup by cup, Starbucks has changed the way people drink coffee.

More remarkably, the company successfully transformed a pedestrian commodity into a high-end accessory. It has created a "Starbucks lifestyle" that more people continue to embrace in the United States and abroad. They created community around their product.

If you're thinking about starting a business, or making an existing business better, ask yourself this question: "What's unique about my business or product?"

God created each of us to be unique. Define this uniqueness in your work life and promote it with integrity, and you'll have a good chance for success.

MEDITATION

"Dear God, I lift up your name and praise you this day, for you are the mighty God, creator of the universe, lover of mankind, sustainer of all, most magnificent and awesome Father, most caring and devoted nurturer, most powerful of anyone and anything, all-knowing and ever-present.

"How can I even count the ways that you are worthy of my praise?! Thank You for Your gift of love and life. Thank You for Your gift of eternal life with You through Your righteous Son. Thank You for Jesus my Savior and the Holy Spirit who convicts and seals and guides me along the way.

"Thank You for the Word and Your Word that illuminates, instructs, and leads me. I am grateful for who You are, all You do, and what You plan to do. In the name of Jesus I humbly come before You. Amen."
