Greetings!

We've been writing about "waiting on/for the Lord" recently and many times we relate this to our prayers that we think God hasn't answered, and so we wait.

The time we spend in God's waiting room may depend in what our attitudes and mindset are, realizing that pacing back and forth and fretting not only fails to speed things up, but may, indeed, initiate turmoil within us.

Let's be assured that the Lord has a better way because he promised that all things will work together for the good of those who love Him. Let's not jump ahead to get the results we think are correct and proper, but instead let's wait for His direction although this might seem counterproductive to us. Know that the Lord has places to take us, and He knows what baggage to leave behind.

AMAZING GRACE

We can practically talk about grace for the longest time and still not exhaust the hours, minutes and seconds far into the future.  The subject of God's grace is so vast we can never get tired of it.  The "Grace Lifestyle" will be the basis of Pastor Hansel's sermon on Sunday.  It will complete the series on this topic for three consecutive weeks.

Church Anniversary-Thanksgiving-Welcome Back Celebration

There were a lot of guests last night at the combined church anniversary - thanksgtiving - welcome back celebration held at the Asia Buffet in the City of Industry.  Thank you for inviting them to join us.

Fifty-nine were present for the occasion and food, as usual, was plentiful.

Pastor John spoke briefly during dinner to remind us of the journey our church group has taken to the present, and to celebrate with thanksgiving for all the blessings that we enjoy. He offered a prayer of praise and gratefulness to our Lord at the end of his short remarks.
DEVOTIONAL

by Rick Warren

"Commit your work to the Lord, and then your plans will succeed." Proverbs 16:3 (NLT)

God is for your success in life; he created you for a purpose and he wants you to succeed. It is God, your Creator, who will measure your success in life, and no one else.

Knowing God is for you will change your whole perspective on life. You'll stop thinking of God as someone looking down from Heaven, ready to yell "Gotcha!" anytime you mess up.

This is extremely good news!

It means you don't need to be afraid of God, because God is for you. Yet some people are so afraid of God that they get nervous just talking about him. Do you know why? They feel guilty, and then they start thinking, "If I get close to God, he's going to lecture me. He's going to remind me of all the things I've done wrong, and then I'll feel even worse!"

Nothing could be further from the truth of God. Jesus said, "I did not come into the world to condemn it, but to save it". In effect, Jesus is saying, "I didn't come to scold you; I came to save you."

If God is for us, who can be against us?
