Monday Edition                                          July 25, 2011

Greetings!

Our best opportunity to be the "church" happens on Sunday morning. One of the things that has taken us to the place where we are in worship is the way we have come to understand that the free movement of the Holy Spirit is the hallmark of our worship experience.

We believe and we know that our worship experiences draw us to the type of ministries we do the other six days of the week. When worshipers become so engaged in the worship experience, time passes so quickly.  That's what we experienced yesterday! That's what worship does for us.  It's engaging, it's empowering and it's life-transforming!

The Church Staff

KEITH FERRANTE SPEAKS

Our guest speaker gave a powerful message on "Praise" yesterday. His emphasis on praise and thankfulness were peppered with personal experiences and applicable biblical references.

Keith gave importance to thanksgiving as the key to increased blessings.  He urged us to declare the positives with our mouth because in heaven there is no lack.  That's why we pray "on earth, as it is in heaven!" He encouraged us to replace our "garment of heaviness with the garment of praise."

"Praise opens the doorway to heaven," he declared, and that with praise we are energized by the Holy Spirit.

At the end of his sermon, Keith led the congregation in what could be considered perhaps an unprecedented season of praise at Gospel Life Community in recent memory, lasting for another hour or so.

Keith Ferrante just returned from a missionary trip to the Figi Islands.  He related his experiences while visiting congregations in Korea, Malaysia, other places in Asia and Africa. He was the visiting faculty of our Lion's Den School of the Supernatural this past week. We thank the Lord for Keith's continuing ministry!

Ashley Danielle CHILD DEDICATION

The Child Dedication portion of yesterday's church service presented Ashley Danielle De Vera to God and to our Gospel Life congregation as her parents, Ben and Julie, stood by the podium holding attentive Ashley.

Pastor John delivered the Charge to the Parents. The Covenant of the Parents followed.  Blessings and prophecy upon Ashley were pronounced by Pastors Joannie Alano, Hansel Orzame and Keith Ferrante.  Pastor John gave the Prayer of Dedication.

Several family members and others who stood as Ninongs and Ninangs (Godparents) for Ashley attended the service.

FUND RAISING DINNER

More than 40 people signed up for the Fund Raising Dinner scheduled for tomorrow, Tuesday, July 26.  The occasion is meant to promote fellowship and camaraderie among our congregants, and to help raise funds for components of our sound system.

MARKETPLACE MINISTRY

Who Should Be In Charge?

"When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan" (Prov 29:2, NKJV).

We hear a lot these days about being "politically correct." It seems we must be sensitive to every group, no matter how that group might negatively impact our lives or violate ethical or moral laws. When God created the earth,he did not care what people thought of his policies. His policy was THE way!

But his primary motive was not to control but to bless mankind, His creation. His nature was only good. In Jeremiah 9:24 we find God's nature described: "I am the LORD, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight," declares the LORD.

He laid down rules in the Garden of Eden for Adam and Eve to follow. As long as they followed the rules, they would reign over every living creature. They were representing the Creator in all aspects. God's government was being expressed through his creation in humans, nature and animals. He was and is the ultimate righteous ruler.

God's desire was to extend this mandate across the earth through Godly leaders who could represent and legislate his Kingdom in all spheres of life. This is why He said in Deuteronomy 28 that He will make His people the head, not the tail; and that they will always be at the top, never at the bottom, if they follow Him.

God desires to raise up Godly leaders who can represent His interest on the earth. He has called you and me to be one of His representatives.

MEDITATION

"Oh, how I praise You Lord!  You heal the brokenhearted and bind up their wounds. You count the number of the stars and call them all by name. Great are You, Lord, and mighty in power.

"Your understanding is infinite. You lift up the humble, and cast the wicked down to the ground. I praise You Lord, You who covers the heavens with clouds and prepares rain for the earth; You who makes grass to grow on mountains and gives food to the beasts of the earth..

"Praise You Lord, the One whom I trust to heal my hurts and bind up my wounds, and provide for my needs. Bless You, in Jesus' name. Amen."
