REMEMBER TO PRAY FOR OUR TROOPS AND FOR OUR PRAYER WARRIORS!

 Greetings!

Today is set aside as a Federal Holiday. Every last Monday in the month of May is designated by law to be Memorial Day -- a day to remember our men and women in the armed forces who have died in the service of their country.  We also remember our departed loved ones and many make it a point to visit the graves of relatives and friends on this day.

Our Gospel Life prayer warriors who have no fear to ask anything of our Lord and Savior regarding things that are within His will ought to be remembered and prayed for every day as well.  They do not hesitate to stand in harm's way against the enemy, as all of us who say that Jesus is our "Master and Commander" must do.

Blessings to all on this Memorial Day!

The Church Staff

Hansel OrzamePASTOR HANSEL IS BACK!

In his sermon yesterday, during the Good News Hour, Pastor Hansel peppered his talk on "People of Power" with stories about his recent missionary trip to the Philippines demonstrating the supernatural power that we, as Christians, possess. He also emphasized how we, as followers of Christ, ought to be assured of our empowerment through the strength of the indwelling Holy Spirit in us.

Pastor Hansel returned from the Philippines after approximately a month's sojourn there, helping out in ministries in different areas of the Philippines, including Guimba (his ancestral hometown) in Nueva Ecija, and in Palawan during the recently concluded Pastors' Conference.

Welcome back, Pastor Hansel!

E-MAIL UPDATE

Thanks to all who responded to the recent short questionnaire asking you whether you open your e-mail from Gospel Life and whether you'd like to continue receiving e-mail from us.  One hundred per cent of our responders said yes, yes, yes to all three questions asked.

Please encourage other GL members and/or congregants to open their e-mail from Gospel Life, or to submit their e-mail addresses to us so they can start receiving our newsletters and other pieces of e-mail from Gospel Life.

Alternatively, you can forward the newsletters you receive to them (by clicking on the "Forward E-mail" print at the lower left hand area of the newsletter)  and ask them to click on the "Join Our Mailing List" box (located on the left hand side below the Memorial Day bannerhead on this issue)  so that they, too, can enjoy being kept abreast of what goes on at Gospel Life.

SMALL GROUP FELLOWSHIP

Many people begin to realize AFTER starting to attend one of the existing Small Group Fellowships (AKA Bible Study Group) what they have been missing all along. There is definite benefit from being a part of a "safe community" where you and others can study together, pray together, share together and rely on each other to help bear one another's burdens when situations arise and call for it.

Check out the list of SGFs at the back page of your church bulletin.  Or, let us know, if you'd like to start a small group yourself.  You'd be doing yourself a great favor!

MEDITATION

A David Psalm

God, my shepherd! I don't need a thing.

You bedded me down in lush meadows,

You find me quiet pools to drink from.

True to your word,

You let me catch my breath

and send me in the right direction.

Even when the way goes through Death Valley,

I'm not afraid when you walk at my side.

Your trusty shepherd's crook makes me feel secure.

You serve me a six-course dinner

right in front of my enemies.

You revive my drooping head;

my cup brims with blessing.

Your beauty and love chase after me

Everyday of my life.

I'm back home in the house of God

for the rest of my life.

(Psalm 23 MSG)
