Greetings!
Do you sometimes doubt that God cares for you? You feel left out, left alone, or simply forgotten? Many times it involves our relationships, our health, our finances, our family, our work situation? No matter what fix we are in, God knows. He cares. There is an often quoted statement that says God will not allow us to be led into circumstances where His grace isn't able to sustain or support us. And we know He has already won the victory for us at the cross! So why do we fret? "I praise You Lord, for Who You are; the Alpha, Omega, Beginning and the End, Savior and Lord, You're my best friend; Creator of all. Thank You for being my best friend forever. Thank You for being my heavenly Father, always present and always there for me. Thank You for being my sustainer and protector. And thank You for saving me and setting me upon the solid Rock--Jesus." DISASTER PREPAREDNESS
Earthquake Kits Available
We will make available to you, your family, friends and neighbors, emergency preparedness kits that will be helpful in the event of some unforeseen calamity or disaster including earthquakes, electrical blackouts, etc.
At a recent core group meeting this was presented and discussed a bit, with most everyone agreeable to the idea of having you and others acquire these kits, which come in different types of packing and for various affordable costs, depending on your needs.
These kits may include, among others, food, water, light, a thermal blanket, communication aid, first aid material, etc. with a usual shelf life of 5 years. Kits are designed for home, office or vehicle use.
Watch for printed material regarding these kits and how to order them. Our church will also benefit from the sale of these kits. We will let you know the time frame during which these kits can be ordered under church sponsorship. These are available from a locally owned business entity, the Total Resources International.

The angel spoke to the women: "There is nothing to fear here. I know you're looking for Jesus, the One they nailed to the cross. He is not here. He was raised, just as he said .... Matthew 28:5-6 (MSG)
|
"When you say I accept the fact that Jesus' blood was given so I could be forgiven, it changes everything about your life, everything about who you are and everything about your eternity."
|
[Jesus said,] "I'll be with you as you do this, day after day after day, right up to the end of the age." Matthew 28:20 (MSG)
As we've been learning this past week, Easter is a celebration of Jesus conquering even death in order to give us freedom. He wants you to join him in heaven.
How do you do that? You accept the gift that he's given you, the gift of forgiveness and life. You can do that right now. You can talk to him and tell him, "I accept your gift of forgiveness and I accept your gift of life. I want to live the life that you made me to live. Thank you, Jesus, for loving me."
This is a very simple prayer, but it changes everything. When you say I accept the fact that Jesus' blood was given so I could be forgiven, it changes everything about your life, everything about who you are and everything about your eternity.
With you in mind, I want to pray, "Jesus, we celebrate you and who you are. We celebrate your love for us. We thank you for Easter and the reminder that no matter how discouraging our week was this last week, there is good news in the future for us."
"No matter what other people say about us, you say that you love us. And no matter what has happened in our lives, you will accept us as we come to you. Thank you for the gift of your love. Thank you for the promise of your freedom. In your name we pray, Amen."

MEDITATION
"O Lord, thank You for Your wonderful promises! Though in this world, I face troubles, you have told me to take heart because You have overcome the world! (John 16:33 ). I am so relieved and thankful that through You, I am an overcomer.
"So, Lord, when I am overwhelmed or discouraged or faced by great challenges or somehow tempted to disbelieve you, please remind me that You can overcome anything for me. Remind me to 'take it to the Lord in prayer' and allow You to carry me through. I also pray for wisdom and for that way out when trouble comes my way. Thank you. In Jesus' name, amen."
