Greetings!

Let's all pray for families to be strengthened and unified as they gather for Thanksgiving.  Remember especially those who have lost loved ones and feel alone.  Let all faithful believers minister to them.

HAPPY  THANKSGIVING !

This will be quite a busy week for a lot of people, preparing for that Thanksgiving dinner, getting all the recipes lined up, decorating for the occasion and making sure everyone who comes to dinner enjoys the food and the company.

On Wednesday, Thanksgiving eve, from 7 - 9 p.m. we will have a special service here at Gospel Life.  The service will be conducted just like one of the "Encounter"  services that our younger generation have been holding and enjoying in recent weeks.

Experience a deeper level of worship and allow the indwelling Holy Spirit to reign supreme and work wonders within you, even more than He has in times past. This is one Thanksgiving Encounter you will not want to miss.

STRATEGY SESSION

As many of you who can come, remember to be up early enough this coming Saturday, November 27, so that you can attend another Strategy Session beginning at 9:00 a.m. at Gospel Life's Fellowship Hall.

For several Saturdays now a group of your fellow "Gospel Life-rs" have been brainstorming to arrive at strategies that will be used to reach Generation X through the young people and adults working together to achieve this goal.

The thoughts and ideas garnered during these sessions are then compiled and capsulized so as to have  well-considered bases for the actions to be formulated.

Everyone is invited to put in their two cents' worth in this church-wide endeavor.
ARTS/CREATIVE LAB CAMP

Preparations are now underway to hold an "arts camp" just about 5 weeks away, on December 27 to 29. This 3-day course is open to all young people and even adventurous adults.  Pre-sign up is necessary  to see how much interest is generated and for how many.

Attendees will be exposed to such activities as graphic design, film making/movie editing, disc jockeying, for example.  There will be a nominal fee to cover supplies and the lunches.  Talents learned will be showcased on the last afternoon of the course.

Adult volunteers to assist in this program are needed.

Please check with Jon J Tulio and/or Pastor Hansel for details.
FEED  THE HOMELESS

Gospel Life is part of a group of several churches who share their resources in helping to feed the homeless. Our turn comes on Sunday, December 5, where volunteers from our church will provide dinner to the local group of homeless or displaced persons.

This activity will be held at St. Christopher's Catholic Church in West Covina at 5:00 p.m. Food to be served will be prepared ahead of time and brought there for the occasion. Additionally, breakfast and lunch bags for the following day will also be prepared.  Nancy Alano, our coordinator for this activity, stated that she will need a bunch of volunteers to help prepare these bags on Saturday, December 4.

Please ask Nancy how you may be of help. She will also receive donations that are given to help defray the cost.
CONTINUED  TILL  JANUARY

At least a couple of our regularly scheduled activities will be put on hold due to the holiday season and the flurry of things to do at this time of the year.  The meetings of the Christians In Commerce group on the third Sunday of each month and the combined meetings of the LA/Glendale area small group fellowships on the last Saturday of each month are not going to be held either in November or December. These will resume in January.

MARKETPLACE  MINISTRY

The Ultimate Franchise

And He said unto them, How is it that ye sought Me? Wist ye not that I must be about My Father's business? Luke 2:49 KJV

Earth is God's business. He has set up many franchises (churches) designed to send His representatives (Body of Christ) into the world to make known the best product ever given to mankind (Jesus). His branch managers (pastors) have been given the responsibility to teach and support those in the field. God's goal is to establish a franchise in every nation, state, and city. It is the ultimate business because when you introduce someone to His product (Jesus), you receive a reward from the home office (Heaven). God has promised that His representatives will have all the tools and customer support needed to accomplish their strategic plans.

Jesus knew that He was to be about His Father's business. He knew He was sent to earth not to enjoy the pleasures of lowly man, but to accomplish a task for which He alone was sent. When He had accomplished His mission, He was to entrust this mission to other representatives into whom He poured His life for three years. This field training allowed Jesus to mentor, model, befriend, and demonstrate firsthand the model for a successful business to be launched and sustained.

God has big plans for His franchise. He wants every human being to partake of His product; however, even God knows that not everyone will. Nevertheless, this does not thwart His efforts in seeking to make it known among His audience.

You have been called to be part of the ultimate franchise. How many new recruits have you been responsible for bringing into the franchise lately?
