Greetings!

Let's acknowledge God in everything we do today and everyday.  Let's lean on Him to reveal direction for our lives because when we do, He will lead us to the destination He desires for us.

Proverbs 3:5,6-"Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding Seek his will in all you do, and he will direct your paths."  (NLT)

Becoming Christlike
Fifth Strategy Session

The fifth brainstorming session for our church's strategy planning was held On Saturday , October 23.  The number of participants this time was less than what it was previously, but the discussion was quite lively.

The discussion centered around the theme of a person becoming a believer, then a learner who becomes a follower, and later becomes a mentor and a model.  Becoming Christlike is what discipleship is about.

The safe environment provided by small group fellowships was also discussed at length, where the melding of friendship and leadership becomes an ingredient in the mix and where the five purposes for which a church exists can be accomplished.

Many other aspects of discipleship were brought out and discussed.  The use of bridge events to find interested people to invite to small group gatherings  was emphasized, and where personalized nurturing can take place.

Look out for when the next strategy session is scheduled and come, participate!

Do we recognize God as our Provider? Have we placed our needs before the Lord and asked Him to demonstrate His faithfulness as Jehovah Jireh (which means God is my provider)?
