Greetings!
Our theme in the last two weeks during the Good News Hour is "Pursung God" and this series of three messages will be completed this coming Sunday. Joannie Alano, Associate Minister for Administration and a lawyer by profession, has been expanding on this subject using the life experiences of King David in many instances.
She mentioned once a quote from Psalm 42 which says, "As the deer pants for streams of water, so I long for you , O God...." From the same psalm (v. 8,11) we read, "Through each day the Lord pours his unfailing love upon me, and through each night I sing his songs, praying to God who gives me life....I will put my hope in God! I will praise him again--my Savior and my God!" (NLT)
Let us be as purposeful as the psalmist as we go through our daily schedules, receiving assurance that EVERYTHING we experience in the course of the day is, happily, for our benefit and edification as sons and daughters of God.

Financial Advisory Committee
To Look Into Church's Fiscal Needs A short meeting of Gospel Life's Financial Advisory Committee was held right after lunch yesterday, Sunday, at the Fellowship Hall. Proposed was to do a practical evaluation of the church's financial needs and resources by initially doing a review of the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats ("SWOT review") that define our financial standing. Next, recommendations of the committee will be reviewed with a couple of financial advisers who have offered their services free of charge to the church. This process should result in the formation of a more comprehensive financial planning for our church which will eventually have to be approved by the Core Group. Our members are encouraged to give well-considered input through the church staff. We also need to continue our financial support for our church, not because of any mandate or because we have excess funds floating around, but because Jesus saved us and loves us unfailingly. |

The Coming Wealth Transfer
But the wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous (Prov 13:22).
In the last days there will be a transfer of wealth into the hands of the righteous for the purpose of funding a great harvest of souls and for believers to have greater influence on society in the name of Christ. This will happen in at least four ways. 1. Supernatural Transfer - Like the Israelites leaving Egypt, Christians and non-profit organizations will receive major gifts from individuals or foundations to carry out their Christian mission. In 2004, the Salvation Army received one of the largest gifts ever for Christian ministry via the McDonald's founder's wife, Joan Kroc, in the amount of 1.5 billion dollars. 2. Power to Make Wealth - God is going to give witty inventions to believers throughout the world that will generate wealth. This has already begun. "But remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your forefathers, as it is today" (Deut 8:18). 3. Social Entrepreneurship - Just as Joseph was entrusted with the resources of Egypt to solve a societal problem resulting from a famine in the land, God is going to transfer money to believers who are solving societal problems. Governments will fund private enterprises because government has not been able to do it. 4. Wealthy Individual "Conversions" ? Finally, many non-believers who are wealthy will become Christians in these last days and will begin to use their wealth for Kingdom purposes. The transfer of wealth is designed to accelerate God's activity on the earth, not to simply make believers wealthy. Pray that God uses your work life call to accelerate His Kingdom on earth. And pray that God raises up good stewards of wealth. (From TGIF Today God Is First, Vol. 2 by Os Hillman)

Let us all remember what it says in Psalm 90:12 - "Teach us to make the most of our time so that we may grow in wisdom." v.17 - "And may the Lord our God show us his approval and make our efforts successful."
