Parkways scoping study funds included in federal bill
A project long advocated by the Chamber of
Commercestudies to determine the costs of
upgrading the Audubon and Natcher parkways to
Interstatesis included in a federal spending bill
passed by Congress this weekend and expected to be
signed by the president this week. Senator Bunning
acquired $375,000 for the study; both parkways were
designated last year by Congress as future Interstate
spurs.
The bill also includes $500,000 for science lab
renovations at Brescia University and $500,000 for
equipment at the new WKU-O campus facility.
