Gov. Beshear here Wednesday for bypass extension
groundbreaking
Construction will get underway this week on the
long-awaited U.S. 60 East bypass extensionthe
final piece of a new 100-mile, four-lane corridor
between I-64 and I-65. Governor Steve Beshear
will preside over a ceremonial groundbreaking this
Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. at Meadow Lands
Elementary School at 3500 Hayden Road.
Chamber members are encouraged to attend the
ribbon cutting, which is open to the public.

CYP picnic is Thursday evening
The CYP picnic is Thursday at Reid's Orchard starting
at 6 p.m. All food and drinks are provided. Contact

Agribusiness Task Force meeting
The Annual Agribusiness Tour will be held on
Tuesday evening, October 6th. The Agribusiness Task
Force will meet tomorrow (Wednesday) at 4 p.m. to
make further plans. Those interested in being a part of
the Task Force are urged to attend this meeting.
