Former Owensboro mayor and current Kentucky Chamber of Commerce President Dave Adkisson is the guest speaker at Thursday's Rooster Booster Breakfast which gets underway at 7:30 a.m. at Owensboro Christian Church.

Junior Achievement of Western Kentucky is this month's breakfast sponsor. The $10 charge includes a buffet breakfast. Register online here or call the Chamber at 926-1860 by noon on Wednesday, April 8th.

The Chamber's Advocacy Task Force will meet Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. at the Commerce Center. The task force is working on the annual legislative and local issues survey of Chamber members for later this summer. All Chamber members are welcome to participate in the Advocacy Task Force.

Due to high demand, a third Lunch'n'Learn has been added from noon to 1 p.m. next Tuesday, July 7th, to teach small business Chamber members how to build their own "elevator pitch" and participate in the Owensboro Buys It! expo on October 15th. Nearly 100 small businesses have registered and attended Lunch'n'Learns on June 11th and 23rd (photo at left).
