Habitat for Humanity NCR will launch its 2008 build season with a Women Build groundbreaking ceremony on June 17th, 6:00pm at 386 Tilbury Avenue in the west end of Ottawa. This build will be proudly built to ENERGY STARŪ efficiency.
Following on the resounding success of its first-ever Women Build in Stittsville last year, the Tillbury Avenue build is possible thanks to funds raised through the Women Build Gala 2007, held last fall at the Westin Ottawa Hotel and the generous donation of land by Anand & Saroj Aggarwal.
Habitat for Humanity NCR is a volunteer, nonprofit, faith-based housing ministry that builds simple, decent, affordable homes and sells them with no interest mortgages to low income working families seeking an affordable home in which to raise their children. People of all faiths and cultures are warmly welcomed by Habitat for Humanity-NCR.
