News & Events July 22, 2011 |
Greetings!
As is becoming our custom on the 4th Sunday of every month, both of our 10:30 services will meet together in the Large Sanctuary for "Combined Worship". What a joy it is to worship altogether! This Sunday, we are blessed to have Lt. Col. Oliver North in the pulpit to share his testimony and point us to the Lord. From Col. North's publishing house, H & B: Oliver North is a Vietnam veteran awarded the Silver Star, Bronze Star, and two Purple Hearts during his twenty-two years of service as a United States Marine. Later, he was assigned to the National Security Council staff by former President Ronald Reagan, who called North "an American hero". Today, he is a New York Times best-selling author, syndicated columnist, and host of the award-winning War Stories documentary series on the FOX News Channel. North has four children, twelve grandchildren, and lives with his wife in Virginia. I look forward to worshipping with you on Sunday. God bless you, Rob |

Sunday Celebrations on the Beach
July 24, 6-9 PM in Myrtle Beach
The crowds just keep coming. This week we had 4 bands: Royal Tailor, Semestate, Bldg 429 and new artist Kerrie Roberts. Cynthia Brust of the AMiA gave a wonderful message about how God captivates us and how we should captivate others as Christ is present in our lives. The inflatables were full of laughing children and the humidity had not yet returned. It was an awesome night! Sunday night Adrian Depres will speak, Barefoot Church music team will lead worship followed by headliners Sidewalk Prophets. Mark your calendars for July 31 when members of the All Saints Praise Band led by David Hays will perform and Sayward Elliott will share God's Word. |

Gently Used Clothes Closet Begins
Recognizing our community's need and the joy associated with the used clothing previously made available through Give a Kid a Chance, All Saints is continuing this clothing outreach as a fixed ministry on our campus. With details still unfolding, we are ready to collect gently used adult and children's clothing (no purses or shoes please). A marked collection bin is in the ACTS Building. Volunteers are also needed to help prepare the clothing. Please call or email Andrea Young (650-7291) for details or to volunteer. |

Got a Moment?
Praying for the unchurched...
Could you invest a moment of your daily quiet time to pray for the unchurched people in our area? Later this summer, area residents will be invited to explore the claims of Christ through the Alpha Course. So, why pray now? Jesus said, "No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him...." (Jn. 6:44) The Alpha team is praying that the Holy Spirit will prepare hearts to respond to this invitation. If you are willing to pray at home with this focus and receive a weekly email update, please email Pat Bryant. |

THANK YOU, MRS. CAROL
for loving and teaching our children for the past five years! As many of you know, Carol Schumacher retired from her job as Children's Ministries Director on July 1. During these years, she lovingly cared for, nurtured and taught the children of All Saints. Before beginning her time here, she did the same with the children at Teach My People. Carol has a passion for sharing Jesus with children on a level that they can understand and her heart would rejoice whenever she told stories of how the children were growing in their walk with our Lord. The parents and children of All Saints will be honoring Carol with a reception during SonShine Service on August 14. Thank you, Mrs. Carol. We will miss you!
