Greetings!

An Opportunity to Bless

As some of you may know, C2C: Community to Community is a disaster relief organization started by Erica Elliott and Lizzy Notaro, two college students from Pawleys Island. C2C facilitates the collection and distribution of much needed resources to areas affected by natural disasters. Many families in Alabama have been left with absolutely nothing and need a morale boost and helping hand. C2C is designed to do just that. Donation drop boxes have been set up all around the Grand Strand, with locations ranging from restaurants to churches.

The group recently filled three 24-foot trucks with supplies and delivered them to Alabama. The following is a comment from one who went on the trip:

"The devastation was so overwhelming. I expected the worst but it was so much more. The photos don't do it justice as the damage goes on for miles. We met people that had lost everything, children in the shelter who had lost parents and had no one but child services, families that had all of their belongings packed in their damaged car, and so much more. It was heartbreaking. Everything we collected will be put to good use and everyone was so thankful."

C2C is taking another load of supplies next Friday, May 20, and they need our help. There is a great need for non-perishable food and cleaning supplies. Please bring whatever you can contribute to church on Sunday or drop off at the ACTS Building by Wednesday, May 18, at noon. We can make an immediate impact and bless our brothers and sisters in Alabama as they struggle with so much devastation from the tornadoes.

As we keep those who suffer lifted up in the Name of Jesus, we remember the victims of tornadoes, floods, earthquakes, tsunamis and all other disasters known to man. We pray in boldness and we act in mercy, certain that the arms of our Lord are not too short. Our Lord is never caught off guard, never surprised, nor is He ever powerless to save. Come Holy Spirit!

I look forward to seeing y'all Sunday!
