Greetings!

What do you think of when you hear the word "mission"? Task, directive, duty, shelter might be some words that come to mind. I, of course, think of the late sixties TV show, Mission: Impossible; the show that chronicled the missions of a team of secret American government agents. The team would always accept the challenge of the mission and would never fail in completing it successfully. In a very similar way, as disciples of Jesus, we have been issued the challenge of His mission, to go into all the world and make disciples. It is a mission that is not impossible but one that is made possible by a sending God; a mission that reveals the heart of God through the people of God.

 ...

That is why I am so excited about the conference we are having on the Missional Church on October 29 -30. Reggie McNeal is the featured speaker, and his heart and passion is for the people of God to move from consumerism to mission, from receiving to giving, from being self focused to being externally focused by living intentional lives. He will share with us what it means to be in the heart of this pivotal work that God is doing not only here in Pawley's Island but around the nation and beyond.

...

Please make every effort to attend this conference. There is no charge and child care is provided. You can register by calling the church office or on your connect card on Sundays. The conference is Friday, October 29, 7:00-9:00 pm, and Saturday, October 30, 9:00 am - 12 noon.

God bless you,

SPECIAL CONGREGATIONAL MEETING
Sunday, October 24, 2010, in the Large Sanctuary

All Saints Church will hold a special called congregational meeting on Sunday, October 24, 2010, immediately after the 10:30 AM worship service. The purpose of this meeting is to reorganize All Saints Church so as to be in conformity with the ruling of the South Carolina Supreme Court. This will require the adoption of new by-laws and the election of an entire Vestry to replace the original Vestry, all of whose terms have expired since the beginning of the legal action. All members of All Saints are invited to attend.

THANKS, ALL SAINTS!
