About 250 regional scientists and regional planners from Switzerland, Austria and Germany are members of the "Gesellschaft für Regionalforschung" (GfR), the German Speaking Section of RSAI and ERSA, founded in 1963. The GfR organises two small meetings per year: the winter meeting taking place in the Austrian Alpes for a week each February and the summer conference which we usually organize together with other institutions or organizations (International Summer Conference of Regional Science). 4TH REIMUT JOCHIMSEN PRIZE
The 4th Reimut Jochimsen Prize was awarded to Professor Juan Rosellón, Centro de Investigación y Docencia Económicas (CIDE), Mexico City/Mexico, and Hannes Weigt, Dresden University of Technology, Dresden/Germany, for their paper "A Dynamic Incentive Mechanism for Transmission Expansion in Electricity Networks - Theory, Modeling and Application".
The Reimut Jochimsen Prize was awarded by the Düsseldorf Regional Office of the Deutsche Bundesbank.
