 August 2010 |
August can be stressful. Whether you're wrapping up a summer tour, a summer camp, or a summer collaboration - after two months of the insane heat, it's hard to keep playing nice. If you haven't taken time this summer to relax and renew your energy, I highly suggest you take a week to read books, look at the sky, share dinner with friends, and generally chill. And then..... Look at the Artists' Ventures grant guidelines. We have a new, quickly approaching deadline and we've expanded the eligibility. Call with questions and ideas and take part in the call-in session at the end of the month. While you're at it -- if your art form is visual art, crafts, music composition or performance, check out this year's fellowship opportunities! Really, though, cool off and take some time for yourself first. I'm out of the office, taking my own chill-out time with family, until the 18th. Let's talk after that. And may the force be with you.
