It is also important for us, as professionals, to educate our clients. Too many times I overhear a conversation at one of my childs school events about how unhappy someone is about the condition of their hair. As a passionate Stylist I can't help but make my way into the conversation to find out the particulars of what is wrong. It always comes down to the fact that the person was not educated on how to maintain their style.

Most salons have a habit of getting you in and out as quickly as possible. I am sorry to say that there are some salons, whose business model it is, to create damage to your hair so that you have to frequent their salon more often than necessary and get additional treatments that you wouldn't normally need.
