We went back to school yesterday.

Education is such a major part of our commitment to you.

Yesterday was no exception. Glory, Kristy, Rebecca and Valerie had a great opportunity to attend a class presented by the artistic team of celebrity stylist Kim Vo. you might have seen him on ABC's "Extreme Makeover" or on Bravo's "Shear Genius".

What is most important about continuing to attend these advanced classes is the inspiration we take from it. Besides being great therapists to our clients, we are artists first. Clients come to us to make them look and feel their best. If we stop learning new things we will become stagnant and our styles will become lackluster. What we enjoy about continually learning advanced techniques we continually challenge ourselves. We discover new "little" things that can make a big difference to our clients and get them big compliments.

I ran some numbers recently and realized that we have invested over $7,000 in advanced education this year to date. An investment that continues to pay off everyday for our clients. This coming year we have more great classes to attend and many new things to learn.

statuses you will see that we have been extremely booked these past few weeks so we encourage all of our guests to please book well in advance of your desired appointment. We will always try our best to fit you in but you will find it much more enjoyable knowing when your appointment is instead of being squeezed in at the last moment and feeling rushed.

We continue to be visited by many new clients each and every month. We want to thank you all for your referrals. It means so much to us when we hear that we were highly recommended. We hope you continue to use the Spa85 client referral cards. If you need more they are always available at the front desk.

Lastly we need to address some changes we will be making at Spa85. Going forward the $15 blowouts will only be by Karen and Valerie and available to guests that have gotten their colour or hair cut within the last 30 days. Beginning January 2011 we are forced to raise our hair services by $5 and our spa services by $10. We hope you understand that we have gone the past 3 years without raising our prices but with the current rise in supply and operating costs we need to make a slight increase in order to continue to provide you with the very best service and use only the best products on you.
