A few weeks ago I mentioned that we have a new chocolatier coming to Bay Shore. Well they are now open and we couldn't be happier!
Introducing Afresh Approach.
At Afresh Approach they pride themselves on doing things the old-fashioned way. All of their confections are made by hand and everything is hand-packaged.

One of their specialty items is their truffles.
They use all fresh ingredients and no preservatives.
They are hand-scooped, hand-rolled and hand-dipped in the finest Belgian chocolate.
There are over 40 different flavors, and they're always looking for new ideas and suggestions.
Some of great flavors include Baileys Irish Cream, Chambord, Espresso, Mudslides, Southern Comfort, and Grand Marnier.
Afresh Approach also make their own caramel, almond butter crunch, chocolate-covered almond toffee, cashew turtles, peanut butter patties, coconut bars, peppermint patties and candied orange peel.

Menu items also includes chocolate-covered pretzels, mini-oreos, grahams, brownies and macaroons.
All confections are sold by the pound, half-pound, quarter pound or just a few pieces.
Every weekend they dip and fill strawberries, and they're happy to do these any other day with 24 hours notice. The filled strawberries are a very unique treat. There are a variety of fillings with the most popular being fresh cannoli cream and NY Style cheesecake.
They will custom-create favors for all occasions, and have many packaging choices at their shop. Another popular item is the hand-painted lollipops for birthdays, baby showers, bridal showers, Sweet Sixteen parties and just about any other event.
They're open every day, but Tuesday, from 11 to 6. They are happy to make evening appointments for tastings and to review favor options.
