After 5 years you hear a lot of the same questions. |
"Are your stylists' any good?"
I think that might be the number one question we get asked. At least the one that stands out in my mind the most. At first I would chuckle a little and make a joke about how terrible we all are. Then we exploded with new clients and instead of a few calls like this a month we were getting 20 - 30 per week.
Clients were subtlety telling us that they were finally ready for change. They have been unhappy with their current salon or stylist and wanted to make a change for the better. And they needed reassurance that we were going to take good care of them. More importantly, care for their hair.
And that is what truly sets the team at Spa85 apart from other salons. We don't follow fads, we investigate new products and treatments thoroughly and regardless of the profit potential, if it does not meet our standards or the company is not aligned with our values we don't carry or offer them. We care for your hair. It's that simple. There are great hairdressers all over this state, but unfortunately they get complacent and look for shortcuts to make their lives easier and they stop caring about the client.
I have stated this in many emails but it is always worth repeating. Our commitment to our clients is that we will never compromise the quality of service or the quality of your hair. Our clients only deserve the best and that experience is the same experience during every visit.
This is the last week to enjoy our great May specials. We are already at about 60% booked this coming Friday and Saturday, so make sure you book early to get the appointment you need for the holiday weekend.
Join your favorite team for Tuesday night volleyball at Declan Quinns Pub. Times vary each week. Tonight we play at 9 PM. We are excited to play our first game this evening.
Lastly we will be shipping out our first batch of collected hair clippings this week. We have cut about 4lbs of hair. Although it does not sound like a lot of hair. Trust me it is. And according to the recent news regarding the Gulf Oil Spill it will be much needed. Thank you for helping us collect this hair.
If you you are not following us on our facebook and twitter pages you may have misses our recycling announcement. In our continual efforts to give back to our community and help make the world a better place for all, we have contacted a non profit organization that recycles hair into woven mats that help soak up oil spills throughout the globe. We will continually collect the hair from our haircuts and ship them wherever needed. With just the simple action of getting a haircut at Spa85 you too can be a part this great effort.
Naila is back and she has increased her hours. Her new schedule will now include Tuesdays 10-5, Wednesdays 10 - 5, Thursdays 10-5 and Saturdays 10-5.
