Q: How do parents get information they need?
A: There are a few ways to stay up to date. Monthly newsletters are sent via email; hard copies are available for pick up at the studio. Each student has his/her own "mailbox" at the studio. Important memos and account statements will be delivered to that mailbox. Check the information boards on a weekly basis. The boards are constantly updated with new fun events and rehearsals.
Q: How do I make monthly payments?
A: Auto debit is Auburn Dance Academy's accepted form of payment. Each account is charged by the 10th of each month, and then a statement is placed in each student's mailbox. We will debit accounts on the first business day of the month. You may pre-pay between the 10th and the 1st by cash, credit or debit card. We no longer accept checks.
Q: My child lost her dance shoes at the studio. We went back to where we left them and they were gone! What should I do?
A: We like to keep a clean studio. Your lost items were probably placed in the Lost and Found in the locker room (blue room). Check there. All cubbies are cleaned out nightly and items are placed in the lost and found. Please write your child's name in all dance shoes. On a nightly basis, Auburn Dance Academy throws out the following items:
- Food in the fridges or anywhere in the studio
- Water bottles
- Tupperware/Food containers
- Socks/underwear/tights
- Hair supplies
Q: Are there any parking restrictions?
A: ADA's designated parking area is at the end of the building near H and R Block and the skating rink. If you are staying for more than 15 min. you must park there. If you are dropping your dancer off without getting out of the car, you must find a place to park and then pull out (no dropping off at the door please). If you are popping in for up to 15 minutes you may park anywhere you like. These rules have been put in place by the Auburn Shopping Center's Landlord.
Q: My Dancer has a break in her schedule at ADA; can she leave the premises without me?
A: In order for your child to leave the inside of ADA, the parent must hand delivery a hand-written note expressing consent. Once the dancer leaves ADA, we are no longer responsible for his/her whereabouts. However we do expect them to sign out and in at the information center. Dancers will not be allowed to loiter in the front of the other businesses.
Q: What is the ADA dress code?
A: You can view the ADA dress code at this link
Auburn Dance Academy Dress Code. It is very important that ballet attire is worn in ballet class to promote a learning atmosphere.
