 Greetings!
Ladies and gentlemen, start your engines! Beginning Tues, Dec 1st until Dec 20th, all the planets are in Direct motion for the first time in 2009 - get ready to blast off!
So much will be happening in the next three weeks, you will need to be awake and at your best to maximize the opportunities that will be available to you at this high energy time. Right now we are on the fast track, so if you've been feeling like you are being called to something new, do it now!
Here's the astrological line-up for Dec '09 through early '10:
* Uranus (the unexpected/change) goes Direct on Tues, Dec 1st
* Mars (action/will) goes Retrograde from Sun, Dec 20th-March 10th
* Mercury (communication) goes Retrograde from Dec 26th-Jan 15th
* Lunar Eclipse on Dec 31st - an important ending * Solar Eclipse on Jan 15th - a turbo-charged new beginning!
Take action to begin any new projects that you are planning for 2010 before Mars and Mercury go Retrograde. You will have plenty of time to make adjustments and corrections in the coming months, so don't let perfectionism block you from beginning! Don't think you have to have everything arranged exactly in order to make your first move - even sending out an annoucement about a project will suffice as a beginning.
Do your holiday shopping early, as last-minute purchases can create extra stress during retrogrades, with potential miscommunications, wrong/broken items or delivery issues. Holiday travel can be tricky too, as Mars is your car and Mercury rules ground transportation, so make plans to create as much space as possible, stay grounded, pay extra attention to details, and be very flexible in order to create maximum comfort and ease.
Know that you can move through the holiday/retrograde period in a smooth, non-dual way if you have a positive attitude and compassionate spirit. Whatever happens, YOU decide how you experience and interpret everything so choose wisely and take exquisite care of yourself.

Uranus, planet of sudden change, rebellion and your authentic self stations Direct on Tues, Dec 1st after being retrograde since July 1st, '09.
With this energy, you can expect the unexpected - period! It's not about good or bad, it's about change and being flexible - the willingness to consider unexpected opportunities or to accept radical changes and surprises. What changes are you experiencing in yourself, in your circumstances, and in others around you?
Remember, Uranus asks you to be your authentic self - to let go of that which no longer represents the truth of who you are, and know that it will only take away whatever is preventing you from moving forward. If you resist change, the result is usually stress and fear - fear of what's not happening and fear of what is happening! Mars Retrograde

Mars is the planet of action, will, courage, how we get what we want, aggression, sex, and it is the maverick and the warrior. Mars is a "work" planet and it makes things happen, therefore, when Mars goes retrograde you have the opportunity to revisit, regroup or revise your approach to issues, projects and plans - especially what began around Oct 17th.
What arrived in your life during mid-Oct '09? During the next few months you will be making the necessary adjustments, revisions and trying new methods of operating in order to move forward with innovtion and greater productivity regarding the October entry.
Mars Retrograde energy means that you can't function in the same old ways and have things work out. It's time to move in a more instinctual way, guided by intuition rather than the traditional, linear (mental) way. If you persist in your old, outdated ways, you will experience obstacles that can create frustration, so be willing to go within and allow yourself to "feel" into how to move forward. Remember, this is not the time to begin a new job or start new projects if you can help it unless you are prepared to "swim upstream." It's so much easier to go with the flow!
On another note, this is the time when you could have a fling with a lover from your past (Mars is "yang" energy). Just so you know!

Mercury Retrograde

On Sat, Dec 26th Mercury - planet of communication, information, and education - begins it's retrograde journey, going back over whatever was happening, beginning around Dec 9th. Pay attention to what's going on during that time because you will revisit whatever it is during late Dec through mid-Jan '10.
During Mercury Retrograde all forms of communication are susceptible to disruption, so information that is transmitted in any way (via iPhone, computer, fax, phone, FedEx, verbally) is at the mercy of Mercury Retrograde. This can manifest as lacking information you need but not realizing it, misunderstandings, contracts that don't stick, lost/delayed mail, miscommunication, equipment malfunctions and snafus in general.
The guidance to prepare for Mercury Retrograde is to back up your info on your computer and your electronic devices, finalize instructions and if you have planned to begin anything new, take an action before the retrograde goes into effect. And please don't make any major purchases during Mercury Retrograde (especially electronic equipment or appliances), as it's common for something to be wrong with either the item or the transaction.
Mercury also rules ground transportation so be sure your vehicle is in good working order, double-check car rentals, the car service to the airport, car maintenance, directions and travel plans in general.
As the pace slows down, you can use this time to practice flexibility and patience (emphasis on practice). If you find yourself becoming frustrated or overwhelmed, stop, take a breath and remind yourself that all is in Divine Order.
