syrup grades

Times are sweet for Maine maple syrup producers. Prices are up. Technology is helping boost production. And the Pacific Rim countries have developed a taste for maple syrup. Check out February's Fresh from the Woods feature.

Also this week we've tagged some interesting forest-related stories in the media. Like . . .

What's is the potential, and limits, of biomass energy?

What's up with Britain's plan to sell off its forests?

A new lease on life for two Millinocket-area mills?

Since the first of the year we've put up links to dozens of forest-related stories in state, national and international publication. Check out these and others by clicking here.
