A special thanks goes out to the Museum of Design Atlanta (MODA) who will showcase the Emerging Voices 2009.

This year the Museum of Design Atlanta (MODA) will showcase the Emerging Voices 2009. The opening show will be September 25th at 8pm. On display will be the masterful design work from the winning entries of bldgs, Rutledge Alcock Architects and Nodus.

"Emerging Voices" is a program developed in 2001 by YAF Atlanta. This program provides a forum to highlight architectural practices in the Metro Atlanta area that might not otherwise be presented to the public and architectural community. Following the AIA definition of a 'Young Architect', the competition is open to architects who have been registered for 10 years or less, intern architects, and firms whose principal owners meet the above criteria.

Emerging Voices has established a record of accomplishment among architects in Atlanta as the singular, local competition that identifies a bright new spot on the metropolitan design scene. We hope you'll join us for this year's event at MODA! See more info on our website. See our sponsors here with the addition of Gallet Associates, 3Forum, Siematic, SCIC and Rutledge Alcock.

breuer libraryMarcel Breuer Exhibit comes to Atlanta!
It is with great pleasure that YAF announces the international exhibition of work by architect and designer (with Atlanta-based firm, Stevens & Wilkinson Stang & Newdow) of our Central Public Library in downtown Atlanta, Marcel Breuer.

Our full website is now up including a variety of events happening in the month of October. Check out all the exciting things happening here.

This show is a collaboration between the Central Public Library and Museum of Design Atlanta and will be held in both locations. It will be on display from October 27th, 2009 through January 16th, 2010. This is a great opportunity to promote architecture, our city and our Central Public Library.

In addition to the exhibit, there will be walking tours, lectures and many other events during this time period. Please feel free to contact us with any questions or comments.

This year-rain or shine - they return to Castleberry Hill with Le Flash Atlanta 2009, the opening event of Atlanta Celebrates Photography. YAF Atlanta encourages professional growth within our city while building a national network to serve as a collective voice for young architects. In addition, YAF aims to make an AIA membership valuable to young architects by providing a public forum for the discourse of architecture and relevant topics.
