Celestial Highlights, for SeptemberEarly on in September is a great conjuntion of solar system objects in the deep west. In the month's beginning, look for a young Moon hanging around with Mercury, Venus and Mars. The Sun is obviously a part of the conjunction as well, but just not very much fun to look at. Got an astronomy related question? Ask the navigator. Questions and answers will be posted here next month. ![]() Storage Sacks and Ground ClothsHello fellow campers! This month's topic includes the whys of ground cloths and storage sacks. Next month we'll deal with storage for the season, since camping season for a lot of you will be officially over. In the coming months, I'll add some hints for Fall/Winter camping for the braver souls out there! |
![]() Special offer to our valued Newsletter Subscribers! ![]() Dutch Oven Cheese BiscuitsThis is a variation on the delicious cheese biscuits served at Red Lobster. These go well with beef stew, chili, and of course, seafood! ![]() Chef Jason’s World Famous Stuffed MushroomsOK, now we're seriously talking my language. And I think stuffed mushrooms are about as close to a universal favorite as you're gonna get. And for those of you who don't like mushrooms, what kind of monster are you? No, I'm kidding of course. But I can tell you this; I've made these at BBQs where people who don't like mushrooms were present and were converted. So if you don't like them give this a try anyway. These cook in such a way that they will taste unlike any mushroom you've ever had as long as you stick to a couple key steps. |
