ETHICS COURSES WITH REAL ESTATE SCHOOLS
In August, the Middlesex County Association of REALTORS (MCAR) Directors created a policy to allow MCAR to review approved REC Continuing Education Ethics courses given by outside real estate schools to see if it covers the criteria required for the 2.5 hour REALTOR Ethics Training. The request must come from the school. Only local REALTOR Associations, such as MCAR, can enter REALTOR Ethics Training completion into the National REALTOR Database System (NRDS) where the REALTOR Ethics Training completion is required to be recorded. If you are thinking about taking an Ethics course with someone other than MCAR and they claim the course also includes completion of the REALTOR Ethics Training, be sure to check with MCAR if they have reviewed the course.
