Candleberry Inn Featured in T.V. Show on Ecotourism
Last winter, the Candleberry Inn was one of three Brewster inns to become a verified Cape & Islands Green business. Owners Charlotte and Stu Fyfe took steps to improve energy efficiency at the Inn and increased how and what they recycled. They make their own organic cleaning products, grow their own vegetables and herbs, and even have honey bees. They shop locally for things like cornmeal (at Stony Brook Gristmill of course!) and organic chocolates, and they encourage their guests to embrace sustainable practices. The show, "Sleeping Around", is aimed at young professionals seeking eco-friendly destinations. Learn More.

Jackson, who starts 1st grade in September, is spending the summer with his frog friends at the pond just down the path from his home. Every day he visits the pond, the frogs jump out, and sometimes try to follow him home. What fun! |
