          CHANGING OF THE GUARD
AT THE
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PARTNERSHIP

A Note from Elizabeth:

No doubt, many of you have already heard the news that I've resigned from my position as Executive Director and left the organization as of June 29th. As you may imagine, this was no easy decision. I've been with the Community Development Partnership for almost twelve years and during this time have found the work of implementing innovative programs, leading the organization and serving the community challenging, energizing and deeply satisfying.  But I also believe that to continue growing both professionally and personally, one must embrace change and take risks.

The Community Development Partnership is a very special organization.  Its Board of Directors and volunteer committee members are dedicated and give their time and talent generously to further the mission.

The staff is a small team of exceptional people - multi-talented, hard working and passionate about strengthening our community.  This last year, we began using the phrase  - This Place Matters - a simple statement that communicates the pride and commitment so many of us have for the Lower Cape. While the challenges to living and working here are real, so too are the unique qualities and characteristics that compel so many of us to make this our year round home.  Strengthening and preserving those characteristics and providing economic opportunity for low and moderate income residents is the CDP's mission and one that I will continue to support as a community member.

Using my talents and skills in service to others in the community is at the very core of my personal values so I feel a deep sense of gratitude for the time I've spent working at the CDP.

 Elizabeth Bridgewater

Sincerely,

Elizabeth Bridgewater

Executive Director

Community Development Partnership

A Note From Our President:
It is with mixed feelings that the CDP said goodbye to our long-time Executive Director, Elizabeth Bridgewater. The organization is saddened to be losing an individual who has been such an integral  part of us for the last 11 years. We will miss her professionalism, friendship and incredible talents that directed the CDP forward in so many creative and positive ways!

At the same time, we are thrilled for Elizabeth as she seeks new adventures and challenges.  And, we wish her the very best in her pursuit of those opportunities.

I am also very pleased to welcome Moira Noonan-Kerry to the CDP, who will serve as Interim Executive Director until a permanent replacement is found.  Moira comes to this position with extensive knowledge of the CDP, it's programs, staff, market and mission.  She began working for the CDP as a Vista Volunteer in 2002.  She joined the staff permanently in 2003, and served the organization in several capacities, going into "temporary retirement" from the CDP as Director of Economic Development Programs, in June of 2011.

We are very fortunate that she is able to step in with her expertise and skills during this important transition.  Welcome Moira!

The CDP is a vital organization filling critical economic and housing needs on the Lower Cape and is moving forward with a recently updated Strategic Plan that reflects our mission and supports the existing successful programs and future expansion of our efforts.

The CDP,  in all our programs, is committed to promoting a vibrant Lower Cape based on economic and environmental sustainability in housing and job creation opportunities.

Sincerely,

Ernie Rogers
President, Board of Directors
Community Development Partnership

A Note from Moira:

I want to begin by expressing how pleased I am to be re-joining the Community Development Partnership as the Interim Executive Director.

As many of you may remember I worked with the CDP for nine years, most recently as the Director of Economic Development Programs. During the year I have been away from the CDP, I have remained connected with and committed to the mission of the organization.

Through this transition period, I plan to support the progress of the CDP's valuable community programs and talented staff. I look forward to re-connecting with those of you whom I've worked with before and getting to know those I have not.

With Regards,

Moira Noonan-Kerry

Interim Executive Director

Community Development Partnership
