Greetings!
Here's some good news: Spring Training has begun, and Opening Day is only 38 days away.
Here's some more good news: The Boy Scouts of America have a lot to be proud of as they celebrate their 100th year of teaching, guiding and producing outstanding young leaders, as you will see below. The Scouts have been our client for ten years now, so their many accomplishments weren't news to us. But The Scout 100 project, an online multimedia presentation we recently kicked off, helped reconfirm that the rising generation of leaders is quite an impressive group. Take a minute to see for yourself - you'll be impressed with the poise, maturity and character of this region's Eagle Scouts.
Best,

Introducing The Scout
100
| This month marks the 100th anniversary of the Boy Scouts of America. To help the local Narragansett Council of the Scouts tell part of the story, we worked with them to put together The Scout 100, a website where 100 local Eagle Scouts tell their Scouting stories - what Scouting has meant to them, what community service project they organized (something required of every new Eagle), and highlights from their Scouting experience. Each participant also tells why he believes Scouting remains so important to the community, and our nation, after 100 years. "The site is a great testament to the caliber of young leaders we have within our Council and our community," said Dave Anderson, Scout Executive for the Narragansett Council. Check out the site at www.theScout100.com. When you hear these young leaders tell their stories, I'm sure you'll agree with me that it's an extraordinary group - and a hopeful, uplifting sign for the future. |

How Did Tiger Do?
| So many people asked me that question over the weekend that I provided the answer on my blog. Short answer: He did well - so far. He didn't cast blame or make excuses. He accepted responsibility and sounded sincere. But before it's really over, he's going to have to sit down and answer questions. But with whom? I walk through all the ins and outs of last Friday's apology, and where Tiger should go from here, in the blog. |

Just in time for tax season, we worked with Jacquelyn Tracy, President of the R.I. Society of CPAs, to have her included in a story in Woman's Day magazine about how to take advantage of little-known tax deductions. There's nothing like being quoted in a national publication, like Woman's Day, to raise your profile and solidify your credentials as an expert.
- Momentum keeps building at the Quonset Business Park, home to the 5th largest auto port in North America, and where 8,800 people work at 168 companies every day. Last week, the U.S. Department of Transportation acknowledged that progress by making the park one of only 50 recipients of a highly selective infrastructure grant. To receive the $22 million in funding, Quonset had to compete against a total of 1,400(!) applicants from all across the country. But that's not all - there'll be more good news out of Quonset very, very soon.
- For more Quonset news - Steven King, the managing director at the Quonset Business Park, will
be a guest on 10 News Conference airing this Saturday at 6:30 am and
again on Sunday morning at 6 am. Check it out.
