living Galatians 6:2 tangibly
by Chris Denney, Lead Pastor of Catalyst Church in Pendleton
Two weeks ago at Catalyst Church, hundreds of friends gathered to thank God for His miraculous work in the life of a young mom and friend, and to thank God for his miraculous work in uniting a community even through an unspeakable tragedy. I doubt there's ever been a time in its history that the people of Pendleton, Indiana have ever cared more for each other.
The most transformational moments in the church's history, moment's when we've had the greatest opportunity to see others come to faith in Christ, have been times not when our platform was filled with the greatest of orators, but rather in times of great darkness our communities were filled with those who took to the streets Jesus' call to love deeply, serve fully, sacrifice wholly and give generously.

Reflections of 2011 Annual Meeting and General Assembly
by Jeff Matas, Indiana State Pastor of Church Health
Mention the phrase "state general assembly" to most pastors and lay delegates and all kinds of thoughts come to mind: endless reports from committees; being stuck in the world of Robert's Rules of Order where people amend the motion on the floor or ask for the question; or worse yet,
pastors lining up at microphone #2 waiting to speak against the two pastors who just spoke from microphone #1. Hook a pastor up to a machine that measures key indicators of stress-mention "root canal" and "state general assembly"-and I guarantee the level of stress would be less for a root canal. I might be exaggerating just a bit, but the point is that state meetings have had a bad reputation and much of it has been well earned.
