Indiana Ministries Update

March 14, 2011 - Vol 3, Issue 6

Jeff Matas Joins the Indiana Ministries Team

Doug

It is with great enthusiasm that Indiana Ministries welcomes Jeff Matas as the
State Pastor of Church Health.  His email address is jmatas@indianaministries.org
I asked Jeff to tell you about himself.

Jeff MatasIf I had to describe myself in one word, it would be "passionate." Each day, I strive for meaning and purpose...it's the air I breathe that enables me to go forward in life. My passion to make a difference is what God used to call me into ministry. I have a passion for the local church. I believe in the local church. I love the mission of the local church. The church is the embodiment of Christ. His mission is our mission. Jesus said He came to proclaim the salvation of the Lord; to set people free from the chains of sin (Luke 4:18). I love it when the church, like Jesus, goes beyond its walls to where the people are. I love it when the church, like Jesus, is willing to put aside what it prefers and its own comfort for the sake of those who are bound in sin and lost. I love it when the church, like Jesus, loves with such grace that it makes religious people nervous.
