Indiana Ministries Update

Annual Meeting Recap                by Rev. Erin Taylor, Chair of the Indiana Ministries Board

How good it was to come together at our annual meeting! It was a meaningful time together as we celebrated twelve ordinations, engaged with a vision for the Church of God in Indiana, and gained hope for the future of our churches. On behalf of the Board of Directors, I'd like to thank each of you who made it a priority to join us for this important time. It's an essential time for us each year to affirm our commitment together to make more and better disciples across the state of Indiana.

As our time together opened on Monday morning, Dr. Doug Talley shared with us a clear and compelling vision for the future of Indiana Ministries. We must remain laser focused on the mission of growing healthy churches that are accomplishing the great commission. The commitment of Indiana Ministries to the local congregations in our state is clear. As we consider what the future holds, we must face the sobering reality that 95% of our congregations are plateaued or declining and their trajectory is moving towards death. Yet we are not without hope! In front of us there is a vision and strategy for the future as we seek to reach people for Jesus Christ.
