Goals for 2010, Part II by Doug Talley

 In the last e-newsletter I talked about setting goals and challenged each of you to develop a
master calendar (guidelines for managing your schedule). If you missed the edition, check your trash
or email Mimi and ask her to resend it.
I hear pastors talk all the time about feeling like they are running
around like a chicken with their head cut off.
Developing a master calendar will help minimize that pace.... if you
follow it.
Let's talk some
more about goals in this edition. Goals
are simply an end result that you believe God wants accomplished. Goals help you manage your time, energy, and
priorities so that you can achieve what you believe God wants you to achieve. If you aren't sure what to accomplish, goal
setting can help you determine that when done within the context of prayer. Goals help protect us from being reactionary
and spending all our time putting out fires.
